I am reading Crucible of Command, it parallels the lives of Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, from birth through the Civil War.Additional books I am reading: "How We Will Live on Mars"; "Jimi Hendricks Story" and "The Road to Character." I am way behind in my 25 book goal (had to revise downward from initial 50 due to work commitments and work travel.)
Finished Make Your Home Among Strangers. 4 stars : My review : https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished
by Jacqueline Woodson-- 4 Stars!Beautifully crafted book of poetry that is autobiographical. Highly recommend, even if poetry is out of your comfort zone, like it was mine. :)

I am listening to Unless and probably finish it tonight. it's been at least 10 years that I haven't read Carol Sheilds and I've forgotten her magic works with words.
Finished
by Megan Mayhew Bergman-- 5 Stars!!Short story collection (which normally I abhor!) about real women and their interesting, quirky lives. Highly recommend.

I'm reading As If: The Oral History of Clueless, as Told by Amy Heckerling by Jen Chaney. I am also listening to The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman. Thus far, both are great! :-)
I am listening to Dirty Love and enjoying his narration of this collection of short stories. I read House of Sand and Fog by him years earlier when it was an Oprah book club selection and loved his writing style.
Ozma of Oz by L. Frank Baum....reading this book in a bind up.. :-)Recently finished Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomeryenjoyed the story a lot...Always loved the movie so i wanted to try the books.
I finally finished Go Set A Watchman. It was okay though a bit repetitive & somewhat dated. What really got me was how much of my own youth I saw. It did not change my opinion of TKaM. Still an all-time wonderful classic!
Karen wrote: "The Japanese Lover by Isabel Allende. I am enjoying it a lot!"Karen , glad to hear that . I have an ARC and am looking forward to it .
Finished The Promise of Home: A Mill River Novel . 3 stars . My review : https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am reading The Time Betweenand I am about half way thru, but as soon as I try to predict how the book ends, I am surprised with new revelations. It's a great guessing game book so far.

I'm currently on a YA binge. This week's book: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I'm simultaneously reading it and listening to it on Audible. :-) I love the reader for the e-book. It's not often that a voice on tape 100% matches the voice I conjured up my head. But this one is spot-on. Good book. Curious to see how it wraps itself up.
