Glad you agree! And, we're not alone - another friend is of the same opinion. The rest of the book was so well done, it was a huge letdown at the end.

Funny enough Gone Girl is the only book of Gillian Flynn's I have NOT read. Simply because I watched the movie first.
I think her other books are excellent tho! Hopefully you can give her a second chance!

I previously read Sharp Objects and liked that a lot. She writes very well, but the ending of Gone Girl didn't live up to anything I had hoped for.

I am on Chapter 6 and it's so good I can't put it down. I got it through Once Upon a Book club and I got the most beautiful gifts with this book, a crochet table runner, a purse a passport portfolio, It's amazing, plus a great book for my home library shelf.

I'm reading The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak currently. I see that You have a interest in 'historical romance', 'fiction' and 'non-fiction' and I think this book have it all you're looking for.

The Twelve Tribes of Hattie is a really good one! It's Beautiful and devastating.

I'm staying up all night reading it :) There is an interesting love triangle being formed and battle scenes that are sensational. Great urban fantasy romance with some sci-fi feel to it.
