message 6633: by Miriam (new)

Miriam Murcutt | 26 comments I'm reading 'Bloodlands' by Timothy Snyder. This book gives a very sobering account of the mass murders wrought by Stalin and Hitler. The then Russian Ukraine was very much subject to these atrocities which makes this read especially relevant today. Although the content makes for hard reading, the reading itself is made easy by the clear and fluid writing of Snyder.
