Heather Currently Reading Matchup, edited by Thriller genre author Lee Child. It is a collection of short stories that bring together two main characters from different Thriller authors. Imagine Kathy Reich's Temperance Brennan and Lee Child's Jack Reacher working a case together.Or Steve Berry's Cotton Malone meeting Diana Gabaldon's Jamie Fraiser in 1755 Scotland! The stories are put together well and bring out the various characters personas perfectly.

C.A. Simonsen | 17 comments C. A. Simonsen here. I know that I'm responding late but have just joined the group. I recently read Michael Crummey's The Innocents and Sweetland. The Innocents is loosely based on an actual pair of orphans found surviving on a coast. Both are fantastic reads.

I concur about the pace of Cold Mountain.
