Hi all! I'm Tadiana from Utah, an IP (intellectual property) lawyer and former English major. I have some friends in this group and followed a link in a discussion thread to your women authors challenge, which sounds great. I read in a lot of different genres, probably more SFF than anything else, but I'm trying to add more classics to my mix.

Hi, I'm Bat-Cat (aka Diane). After having searched the last few of months, I have finally decided to join this group to start the new year off right. :)
I very much like the way you have structured this group. The multiple reading options combined with the no-stress, so-pressure philosophy were just too good to pass up.
This is my first group in GoodReads (well I had tried a yearlong Proust read many years ago but the reading schedule was way too strict and regimented for me). I decided to try again and wanted to pick a group that I felt I could "keep up with" even with my busy schedule. So voila, here I am.
I live in Texas with my husband and 6 stray cats. We have a very busy therapeutic massage practice and a Martial Arts school. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, meditating, listening to music, being out in nature, drawing, playing guitar, playing piano and...
I look forward to getting started on January 1st (I may just start a couple of the books early if I can clear my slate a bit over the holidays) and in hopefully participating in some interesting, thought-provoking discussions.
