Hello everyone, it's Valerie from Australia. I'm delighted to have found this group, it seems to be exactly what I was searching for. I read a fair bit these days in all sorts of genres, and I love to discuss books. Reading the classics in group format particularly appeals to me, they can seem a bit daunting read solo. Since I am learning French, I also have a few French classics on my TBR list. I'm going to have a look around the group here to see what you're all reading!

Hello, there. I am a college student from Puerto Rico, my main language is spanish and lately i have been getting into the classics. (including writers from latinoamerica) I tend to read any type of genre which have led me to some great and bad books at the same time. Decided to join since summer break for me is almost here , so that means finally a break to read patiently.
Hobbies: reading, drawing (learning), writing, swimming, running.

Hello everyone, I am Erin from Kentucky. I love reading classics. A few of my favorite classic authors are Jane Austen, Leo Tolstoy and Arthur Conan Doyle.I have been trying to read at least 1 classic a month lately, and I have been enjoying it so much. I thought I'd up my game a little and join a classic group to get some book inspirations and join in on some discussions.

Hi, I'm Ella. I've recently decided to try and reread a lot of classics I read when I was younger (I find a different perspective on every reread) and I'm trying to read more classics in general, so when I saw this group on a friend's list, I thought it would be good for me too.I wish I''d not missed Vanity Fair, but I'll join in on the ones I can. Meanwhile, I'm currently reading We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. I found it on a list of classics and I'm enjoying it. I'm also doing a buddy read of one of the Chinese classics from the 1500s. That's a bit slower going. Really looking forward to this group.

I thought I introduced myself already, but apparently I haven't.Hello, everyone! I'm a law student desperately trying to work through a backlog of classics I own. My passion is ancient literature, such as Greek plays, the Eddas, etc. Lately I've been pushing through 19th C.E. books, although I generally do not like literature from the Victorian era. Outside of classics, I like nonfiction, sci-fi, and horror.
I hope to join in on the All Quiet on the Western Front group read in July. It'll be a reread on my end; I haven't read it since high school, but it really affected me back in the day.

Hello, I am Dipankar.. It's great to be here as I can check what others are reading. My favourite novel Is The Picture of Dorian Gray......... By Oscar Wilde. Does anyone else like this novel? I would be happy to hear your opinion about it. For me it's a masterpiece. Lord HENRY IS JUST FASCINATING CHARACTER I TELL YOU, MORE THAN DORIAN.....

Hello, I'm Leena and I study Literature and English!I love reading a variety of genres - fantasy, historical and contemporary fiction, literary fiction, classics, ... The classics I'm reading right now are Jude the Obscure and The Woman Who Did for university and Little Dorrit in my free time. The last classic I've finished and completely loved is Northanger Abbey - now I just have to find time to read Emma and then I've read all of Jane Austen's novels :)
I'm a bit too busy right now to join in on any of the classics the group's currently reading, but I'll have enough time for that in a month! :)
