Would like to see a thread to list them as a ready reference.

I've put the label on the two with this new title/cover Jools. But if you go to the book page each time, it shows in the "OTHER EDITIONS" when there are books which are the same, but re-titled...

message 12621: by Yarra (last edited Feb 06, 2015 07:58PM) (new)

Yarra I am rading short stories, "Holiday in Cambodia" by Laura Jean McKay. I found that this author is highly praised for her writing, but I really do not like the book. Most of stories do not have good ending, it is just developing some events, like the author wants to write something, with no specific goal. And writing is quite confusing, maybe it is becuase i am not a native English speaker. I still need to finish it, but I am disappointed.

jeniwren | 5 comments This is not right. These are separate novels and not the same. Affection was published in 2005 and The Devils Eye in 2008. I see GoodReads needs to correct the listing for The Devils Eye. ☼♄Jülie wrote: "I wasn't aware that this book had another title Arrrrgh!

re this post, I got an email from jeniwren
"I have just read a post in your groups ( couldnt work out how to reply directly) and it seems some people are under the illusion that Affection and The Devils Eye are the same novel. This is not so and I see the listing at Good Reads is also wrong for The Devils Eye states that this was also published under the tile Affection. I have both novels on my shelf and have checked and they are different stories being published in 2005 and 2008."
FYI

The official release of the paperback of Resistance will be at Swancon in April, but I haven't got any dates for Book 3 (Frontier Defiant). There's still the editing to do - I have the first editing comments from the publisher - and then the to-ing and fro-ing that that entails.

I'll let you know, Brenda!

Sally Howes | 223 comments After wanting for so many years to read Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, I was very disappointed with my experience of it when I read it recently. I don't know that I've ever come across a book before whose characters were ALL either repugnant or ridiculous in my eyes. I could in all honesty only give the book 3★s.

If you're game to read it, here is my review:
