Hagrid's Hut

Ruby let Dimitri help her walk towards the wintry coated castle. She followed his gaze however and saw it was focused towards the boats.

She had decided to follow him, at least be there to check if the situation was indeed as Dimitri had described. To keep Nicolas in check.

She only had to wait until tonight.

Elinor walked towards Hagrid's hut with Coco in her arms. She wanted to learn all about the creatures that Hagrid took care of. Being a first year, she didn't see very many creatures but she was determined to learn. Gathering her courage, she raised her hand and knocked on the door.

Matthew frowned when he heard Dorie speak, still running. "Professor Hagrid's hut. He may be able to help you since you were attacked by a creature." He told her.

Soon they arrived at the hut and Matthew pounded on the door frantically. "Hello? Professor?! It's an emergency!" He shouted.

Matthew walked in hurriedly and continued to hold Dorie in his arms, not sure where to put her down in the small, cluttered hut. Had he not been so worried about Dorie, Matthew might of sneered and made an underhanded comment.

"A hidebehind attacked her and clawed her back." Matthew told Hagrid worriedly.

Matthew nodded and looked around, seeing a sort of bed and gently laid Dorie down on her stomach on the bed so Hagrid could treat the scratches on her back. "I'm not sure how deep they are. She seemed to be fading fast one our way." He told him.

Matthew rubbed the back of his neck. "It was nothing. Just a few charms. They just seemed to work." He said and sighed softly and smiled at Dorie a bit. "I'm just glad I was there. That thing could've done a lot worse than a few scratches."

Matthew smiled a bit and nodded to hagrid. "Thank you, Professor. Sorry to trouble you." He told him and gently helped Dorie up. "We should get you back to the Ravenclaw Common room." He said.

Matthew frowned softly when she had to still lean on him and he put his arm carefully over her shoulders. "I got you, don't worry. You're okay." He told her reassuringly and instantly flashed back to his little sister.

Matthew was 11, he'd just received his Ilvermorny Acceptance letter. He couldn't be happier. He ran out the back door into the garden, searching for his little sister Marie. "Marie! Marie! I got it! Where are you?" He shouted, looking all over for her.

Suddenly, an earpeircing scream came from the woods by the gardens. Matthew's eyes widened in fear in heart sank. He ran towards the scream and found Marie on the ground, cuts all over her body from a Curse. "M-Mattie..." She said weakly. Matthew knelt beside her and hugged her close. "Shh, shh, It's okay Marie." he reassured her. He looked around desperately. "HELP! SOMEONE HELP!" He cried.

"M-Mattie... I-I w-want P-papa...." Marie said weakly. Matthew pulled her closer and craddled her gently, rocking back and forth. "I know Marie, I know. Don't worry. I got you. Don't worry. You're okay. You're okay." He reassured her, tears streaming down his cheeks. He watched as the light left her eyes and she breathed her last shaky breath.

Matthew blinked a few times and looked down. It wasn't long after her death Matthew was introduced as a member into the Corps. He joined determined to never be hurt like that ever again and to unleash his ultimate revenge on whoever killed his sister. He still hadn't found them and he'd been hurt again when Skylar broke up with him.... so why was he still in the Corps? Easy, he'd become addicted to the power it gave him and the fear of others. But he still couldn't shake his sister's death....

Matthew blinked a few times, snapping out of his trance. He looked at Dorie and smiled/smirked slightly. "Something like that." He told her and smiled, helping her walk more.

"My family is a part of this group that teaches you to use really powerful magic and they taught me at an early age. The same thing happened with a bunch of other kids whose families were in the group. I can teach you if you want and maybe you can join the group someday if you want." He said and smiled a bit.

Matthew smiled and held her a little closer, like a brother would his sister. He held in a smirk. He'd done what he'd set out to do. But, inside, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. Dorie was too kind for the Corps. To full of life. The corps would crush that all out of her.... because he had recruited her. It would be like having to watch her soul slowly die.....

Could he stand by and watch that? Could he cause that?

Seriously, so many things I want to do with this development. Oh, I want Julian to meet Dorie and Matthew, like a helper with the lessons or something! Oh my goodness, you girls got me all excited and inspired now ^^ Wonderful RP, I enjoyed everything about it!))
