I just started that last night! Wonderful so far.

Finished the GraphicAudio version of ElantrisMy review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Started the GraphiAudio version of Brent Weeks Perfect Shadow
Wrapped up The Best of Robert E. Howard: Crimson Shadows and, unsurprisingly, went straight into The Best of Robert E. Howard: Grim Lands.
Finished Brent Weeks novella Perfect Shadow on GraphicAudioMy review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Starting on Audible Dead Beat The Dresden Files 7
Finally finished Wool, which was good. Read YA fantasy Chantress, magical girl saving London in 18th century alternate England, which was unremarkable. Reading The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which I'm enjoying, and planning to read The Gone-Away World, which I've talked my other book club into reading also.
Finished listening to Dead Beat as part of my Dresden files audio "reread". Definitely one of my favorites of the series.

My Review
Still reading Infinite Jest and will be all summer! In audio, I just finished The Other Typist so I've started listening to The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I love Neil Gaiman's storytelling voice. :-))
Finished Caliban's War and I am now reading The Dispossessed. I know I'm only like 40 years late on that book...
Finished This Book Is Full of Spiders-loved it. Got a little slow in the middle, but then picked pack up and is just as ridiculous as John Dies at the End.Since I'm still in a silly mood I'm going to start Summer Knight
Jenny wrote: "Still reading Infinite Jest and will be all summer!"I just started Cryptonomicon, that will probably take me all summer too.
I am listening to Memories of Ice, reading The Sandman, Vol. 4: Season of Mists, and not sci/fantasy, but at my wife's recommendatoin - The Dirty Life: On Farming, Food, and Love which is actually quite well written and compelling.
Scott wrote: "After about 2-3 years in my "to-read" list and my book shelf, I finally started Crime and Punishment last night"I finished Crime and Punishment a couple days ago. Now I'm about 2/3 of the way through The Hobbit
Finished The Best of Robert E. Howard: Grim Lands and went for something completely different with Phoenix Rising by Philippa Ballantine and Tee Morris.
I've been reading the wars of light and shadow for about a year now, by janny wurts. it's about 11 books in all. love the series, I'm currently on the book in the series called "traitor's knot"
I am reading Open Minds by Susan Kaye Quinn.I am really enjoying her ability to get me into the head of the character and spin a convincing YA sci-fi yarn. There is some romance and relationship tension that is typical of YA, it is well done and tied well to the sci-fi aspects.
During this month, besides Among Others I finally finished The Historian! I also read Scarlet and to clean my head after my predoctoral exam I read Shopaholic & Baby. I'm currently reading Engnand listening to Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. I'm SUPER behind on reviews, both here and in my blog, but oh well
I'm starting the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I just finished Eye of the World and will be starting the Great Hunt soon. I've been meaning to read this series but never got around to it. The first book I found to be really good and kept me flipping pages all night.
I just finished Neil Gaiman's "The Ocean at the End of the Lane" yesterday and it was remarkable: probably one of best books he's ever written. The sense of wonder sometimes combined with dread evoked in parts of the books was masterfully done. There are some similarities to Walton's "Among Others" in terms of theme, but where I didn't like Walton's book, this one absolutely clicked with me with a fascinating and propulsive narrative in comparison. Really awesome.I started Laurie R. King's "The Beekeeper's Apprentice" after hearing Veronica talk about it every now and then, and I'm really enjoying it so far, even though I may be just 50 pages in or so.
Finished up Cold Days last night. So I've caught up with the Dresden series, except for Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files, which I plan on starting tonight.
Haven't read Cold Days (waiting for the paperback). Ghost Stories was really good. Side Jobs is nice. It's little short stories, which are great to read when you just have a little time.
I finally finsihed Declare which was a little bit of a challenge but I very much enjoyed the novel. I've started Sandman Slim and so far, I'm enjoying it.
I was reading Storm Front, the first book in the Dresden series, but I had to stop after 100 pages.. Started reading Leviathan Wakes and the guilt from abandoning a book went away instantly.
Just started Passage by Connie Willis. WOW is this a long book. Too soon to form a real opinion, but I like what I see so far. I'm listening to Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, which is a YA historical fiction book that made a big splash last year. Given that YA historical fiction books rarely make a big splash, I had to try it out. I am quite enjoying it.
It must be Dresden month- I just finished Summer Knight. StartedLord of the Silver Bow while I wait on my holds for the 2 july picks.

I just picked up Fat Vampire. Not exactly sure what to think of it so far other than "Say what now?"

Well I'm on a reread and I encouraged David Sven to start reading the series. I take no credit for Kristina however.

Hmm maybe I should jump back into Dresden Files? I read and enjoyed the first one, but haven't had time to go back into the rest. Maybe after I finish my next 3 planned reads. And I'm still on the fence on reading Redshirts.

Dresden is probably my favorite series. The early books are a bit formulaic, but if you enjoyed the first one, you should like the rest. They only get better with each book. I'd just recommend spacing them out. They serve nicely as a light interlude between heavier fare. At least the earlier books.
As far as redshirts, I just started it today, and I'm enjoying it so far. Then again, I'm a Trek fan, and seem to recall you saying you're not.

Dharmakirti: The Sandman Slim series just gets better and better -- perfect summer reading! You may also want to follow the author, Richard Kadrey, on Twitter and Tumblr. He's a polymath with a lot of interesting/funny things to say. I believe he blogs on Goodreads, as well.
Just finished book 8 of The Wheel of Time. I still enjoy them but my god they can be tedious. I can't read more than two a year however for fear my brain may melt........... And if my brain did melt it would take 26 pages to describe in the minutest of details how it happened.

Books 9/10 gets worse IMHO, but then 11 gets much better, and the last 4 were highly enjoyable.

Finished Redshirts today. I didn't care for it. I enjoy TNG but Redshirts didn't do much for me. Moved on to Neuromancer by William Gibson. It's kind of chaotic so far.
Just finished Redshirts; that was an amazingly quick read. I usually just use S&L as a jumping off point for reading suggestions, but this one had been on my to-read list for months, and I lucked out getting a copy through the local library network in less than 48 hours. I thought it was a blast, especially the first 2/3. Looking forward to starting on Ringworld and actually reading along with the group for a change. That and trying to push through the rest of The Technologists after seeing the author speak last month.

It was still on the prologue on disc 2. I don't want to skip ahead but... blergh.

You could probably just read the wiki summary then jump into Knife of Dreams without real issue.
