Peter David wrote the full adult novels for the first Iron Man and for The Incredible Hulk - both add elements to the story that make great movies even better... I highly recommend them. The junior novels are decent overall, but tend to only tell half of the story. I thought that the Winter Soldier junior novel was pretty decent for what it was.

Still OT here but... the Amazing Spider-Man 2 junior novel is pretty good too - not the full story, but a nice book to get you excited for the movie..

I'm with you there, rea..."
Yes, sounds like you're a card carrying member of the nerd nation. Don't you love it when you're right about a storyline? I've picked up the Secret Warriors Story in TPB because I found out that's where the idea for Hydra infiltrating SHIELD.

Finally caught up on AoS season one.
Very good. Had some stumbles at the 3/4 mark, but the finale more than made up for it.
Looking forward to season 2.

About halfway through season 2.
Random thoughts:
Liking the cast. The new additions are really good. Especially like the black guy that is helping Fitz.
repentant Ward is pretty annoying, and you can see the redemption arc and 'love will find a way!' story coming a mile awhile.
Have a few guesses on who Skye's dad is going to be revealed to be.
Kyle Macluachlin (sp?) is doing a great job and makes the other bad guys look a bit 'meh' in comparison.
Mockingbird!
I knew she showed up, but for some reason thought it was in season 3 so her appearance was a complete surprise.
Does SHIELD have a faculty where all they do is crank out hot, badass women?
If so, that is my tax dollars well spent.
Melinda May is still the best part of this show. Like the relationship between her and Coulson and how the writers have avoided making them a couple.

Mid-season finale!
(Man, do I hate that term)
Two of my three least liked characters got shot!
That more than makes up for how cheap the sets for the 'hidden city' were and how stupid 2/3 of the cast had to act to get us to the 'big event' at the end of the episode.
Think I figured out who Skye's dad is and if I'm right it is very cool and very bizarre.
