I flew through this one! I don't remember liking the first one as much as this one, but now I want to continue the story of these shapeshifting dragon-people even though it is a historical series (not my favorites, usually). Lia is such a combination of wise and naive all at once, such an old soul for nineteen due to her strange Gifts. Zane is an anti-hero but the way things play out he gets totally redeemed - lovely! I LOVED his solution to their problem at the end of the book :) I also liked the way the in-between chapters are narrated by someone else and you don't realize that it is the eleven-year old princess until the very end.

I've decided to change my book. I'll wait on Darkhouse until I can give the series the time and attention it deserves, or so I keep hearing :)

Darkhouse is the weakest book in the series. They get better and scarier as you go on in the series.

I really love this series...Im up to Timeless which is the last book in the series to my understanding... I do hope GC will continue write this series because it is one of my favs. I absolutely adore Lord Akeldama.

Nope, GC has decided on a spinoff rather than continuing the series Sallie. Once you've finished the last book you'll understand why. The new series is based on Prudence.

7/30/13 Finished my supernatural book - 4 stars

This is one of the neatest series I've read in a while. You have a group of people with Talents such as Finders, Travelers, Binders, Jammers, and Seers. These people work for one of two large mafia-style families. These people are bound into servitude and can not go against their masters. There are loopholes - and they are quite clever. Even the devil can't write contracts like these.

In this third book of the Unbound series, the focus is on Kris Daniels and his love interest Sera. The battle is against the ridiculously evil Julia Towers. It's jam packed with action, suspense, and some pretty hairy situations. The story is told from both Kris and Sera's point of view and I adored these two. While their relationship is rocky at first - he "rescues" her (she thinks it's kidnapping) from Julia Towers. Sera's impressions of the House of Crazy (The Daniels family home) are quite funny.

The premise of this book is intriguing. The contracts are so convoluted that all you really need to know is that they are totally in the favor of the mafia family and are iron clad and extremely difficult to get out of.

If you haven't yet had a chance to read this series, give it a try.

thanks for the update...I was thinking that she had decided to end the series but I will definitely read the next series. She has a new series out but for the life of me I cant remember the name...something etiquette but Im not even sure that is right.

The Finishing School series is actually a prequel series, set 25 yrs earlier than Parasol. Madame Genevieve Lefoux is in it.

Prudence's series is yet to be written.

Grave Sight turned out to be a good book. Not a great one, but a good one. The character of Harper was an odd one. I know the author intended that, but I couldn't help but think she could have been more. Harper's brother, Tolliver, was just as odd and their relationship was even odder. Throughout the book I had the constant feeling that the author was holding back. It was like you're standing on the edge of greatness, but you never take the plunge. At times, it was almost over the top with all of the small relationships and how they conveniently overlapped one another. Everyone seemed to be related to everyone. In the end, it was that phenomenon that was the main factor in all of the deaths.

Harris does an okay job with this book. I'm not sure if I'll read the next one in the series. Considering there are only four books, I might just do it.

Well, my little buttercups, I've finished my book. This is a perfect series to read when you want an easy, lighthearted book. It has a good mix of paranormal, steampunk and historical romance and it works! Go figure.

Alexia and her entourage head to Scotland to find her husband and solve the humanization plague that is affecting the supernaturals. Of course, someone is trying to find the weapon for themselves and trouble ensues. Poisoning, fighting, thieving, shooting. You name it. Oh yeah, and a mummy unwrapping party thrown in for good measure.

“They decided the mummy would be unwrapped, for the titillation of the ladies, just after dinner.”

We also learn about Lord Maccon's past. Well, at least some of it. And more about being a preternatural and it's affect on things. I would still like to know more about Alexia's father. It seems like everyone knew him and yet we have just a little information on him. I want more!

This book ends with a cliffhanger. I don't like it but I was expecting it. Well the news of it anyway. Let's see how the strong and crass Alexia handles this next hiccup.

I finished my book for the "Supernatural" shelf....Beautiful Chaos by kami garcia..08.02 4*s...I loved this book but I have to say that writters created quite a cliffhanger in the end so now I definitely have to read the next book in the series so I can see how things play out...have to say that I really liked John so much better in this book than I did in the last one but I guess that was the whole point lol

This is another great story by Amanda Quick - her paranormal historical romances are so much fun! Beatrice is a Lady of Lantern Street - a member of a private inquiry firm that masquerades as paid companions. On her latest mission, a scarred man with a cane assists her and introduces himself, informing her that he thinks she is a blackmailer and maybe a murderer. Joshua Gage used to be a spy before the explosion that left him damaged, and he refuses to believe in the paranormal, even though he has an uncanny ability to find anything/anyone. However, both soon discover that their pasts are colliding, and immediately move into a partnership to keep Beatrice safe and solve Joshua's last case. It was a fun read and kept me guessing until the very end.
