I had the same problem which legend too. Along with classes and all the hw that i get it took me about a week maybe longer for me to finish it. I hope you like it though.

Marybeth (narutofan14) I realize that it has been a while since i last posted. I keep forgetting to do these updates with all the hw that i have to do. due to not having any classes today and since i couldn't go to sleep after i woke up at 6 i read Bel Canto by Ann Patchett for 4 hours and it kinda sucked. the chapters were sooooo long. I am now readin happier books though ( at least books that i am remotely interested in, I only read this one for a challenge that requested for a book that was set in South America and i got his one). I am now reading Kiss of Death (The Morganville Vampires, #8) by Rachel Caine , Seraphina (Seraphina, #1) by Rachel Hartman , The Jewel (The Lone City, #1) by Amy Ewing , and Looking for Alaska by John Green . I am also waiting on 3 other books from other libraries. I am reading Silence (Silence, #1) by Natasha Preston on my computer and The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau on my iPod.

Marybeth (narutofan14) I finally finished Seraphina (Seraphina, #1) by Rachel Hartman after reading it for over a week and now i plan on reading Kiss of Death (The Morganville Vampires, #8) by Rachel Caine and Looking for Alaska by John Green hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Marybeth (narutofan14) Sadly i am working on my first essay for my English 100 class. All we have done so far are paragraphs so this is a little harder for me. I have already finished the introduction and now i am on my 3rd paragraph. the only thing i am worried about is having enough words and my conclusion, so somehow i have to make this last paragraph and the conclusion long enough to make over 900 words which so far doesn't look good right now because the process that i am using for this paper is kind of short. I wish i had chosen a long recipe. I hope to finish this paper tonight so i can read all afternoon and hopefully finish Minders by Michele Jaffe tomorrow since i only have about 13 chapters left to go. Then hopefully i will tackle The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater next week. Getting kind of tired of looking at the same books over and over again

I learned the hard way that English teachers care less about the content and more about the structure. Keep in mind that they are focused on getting to the next paper. Any grammar problems causes them to stop reading and correct. It is a bonus to have an interesting paper, but a really crappy content paper with good grammar and sentence structure still gets an A. Why? They did not have to stop reading! The faster they move on to the next, the better the grade. So forget about looking for great content, and focus on the mechanics. Content is the vehicle, but the goal is the destination. A crappy car and a good car both get you there, but the trick is doing it without tickets. With that said, there are subjects that require research, or there are no words to write. It is simply where the time is best spent to get the best review. I hope this helps...the advice is general for English teachers, not so much for this particular paper. Ken

I finished it a few days ago actually :) I really liked it - my only complaint is that the ending left a lot to be desired and seemed sort of rushed. I might reread the end though because I was pretty exhausted when I read it the first time so none of it really made sense to me at the time.

message 1071: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Currently Reading These -
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell and The Crazy Things Girls Do for Love by Dyan Sheldon I picked up the last one because I liked the cover but so far it kinda sucks, I might not finish it.

Marybeth (narutofan14) i have been in a reading slump this week. I thin it has to do with exams.
