ok I'm only on page 155I still like it, it's just going slow! Did it seem heavy to anyone? Maybe it's just me, maybe the size of the book is throwing me off, but that usually doesn't bother me. I don't know, but I'll get a lot more reading on this one tomorrow. Dropped off my kids at church camp this morning and my husband went back to work today!! Woo hoo! lol! :)
WOOHOO! clear house to read! I'm so jealous! I hope you start to like it more! It is pretty heavy and the size is why I've stayed away from it for so long.but I finished it last night and I loved it!
Okay, so I'm at p. 508 or something and I'm so close!!! BUT I felt compelled to comment because for some reason after I've finished books lately my mind just does "omg that was so amazing I can't think straight anymore that was just soo good" and I forget every point I wanted to make LOL. Trisha, most of this is in response to you:

Yes, it's definitely a heavy book. Took me a while to plow through. I don't want to say that parts were unnecessary, because I can't think of anything that could have been cut out (I'm sure Libba Bray already cut out a ton to begin with, as I feel like this whole web of characters (history, abilities, etc.) is a lot more intricate in her mind, esp. Isaiah? I feel like there's a lot Bray thought about him but didn't put on paper). At the time that I was reading it though, I think it felt like a bunch of unnecessary descriptions and stories. I didn't appreciate the intricacy until I was half way into the book, and it took a lot of mental fortitude to get there. Does that make sense?
Yes! Ally it does actually! I also think that sometimes when there are a lot of characters, from so many different POVs, that it can seem slow and the pages don't move as fast as I would like. There is so much going on, and like you said so much detail and it's probably not even half of what the author had going on in her head! Like I said though I really like it, and I'm still trying to get it done. I'll post more on my progress tomorrow! :)

Yes! My kids are gone for a week and my husband went back to work after 2 weeks off! But the plant is still down and he's a team leader so he has to be there so he was BORED off his rocker and was texting me all day!! "What are you doing?" He says! He knows what I'm doing! "What are you reading?" "Are you at a good part?" ARRRGGGH! But I still love him even though he's a big goofball! lol! :)
I finished! As I was reading, I was confused about how they were going make a sequel out of this... the plot seemed fairly straightforward and towards a singular cause. I thought it was kind of choppy at the end, though. I felt like there was a clear end to the book, and then an extra thirty pages devoted to "how can I make this a sequel... let's introduce next book's problem." Some of the stories was also kind of confusing too (view spoiler).
Other than that though, I was really pleased! I'm probably going to read the next one. But, as it stands, I'm not "on the edge of my seat" to get my hands on the sequel.

I didn't see this until now but when I was reading this Trisha I thought the same thing! In my head it was like in the movies when all of them are saying it at the same time, wherever they are, and the camera jumps to the relevant person as their proper line was spoken. If that makes sense.
