What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
I have started
I have seen the movie, twice. Reading a book after seeing the movie is something I only do very rarely.

Finally finished The killing season by Mason Cross it wasn't mind blowing I'm thinking 3.5★ Like a better version of a Jack Reacher book
Currently reading
, and enjoying it. Dark and grimy as usual with Leo Demidov. Not sure how this winds up, but I will be glad. I need some hope or joy, sheesh! LOLAlso glanced at
, and think I will love it. Vampires and other worldly creatures are right up my alley!I will also pick up
to round out my 3. I love the Dresden Files!!
Just finished Dark Matter... really sorry I missed the group discussion. My review is at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Read Darkside by Belinda Bauer 4★ can't wait to buy the last of the trilogy, currently reading Second life by S.J Watson
I am reading Last Year. I just noticed on the cover it quotes SK: "Robert Charles Wilson is a hell of a storyteller." If I'd known that I would have waited and tried nominating it for the 'King recommended' group reads, lol.
Just finished THE DEVIL'S HIGHWAY. Not the kind of book most people read here... non-fiction but a true horror story nevertheless. It's about an attempted border crossing from Mexico into the US where everything goes terribly wrong. 26 men started the journey. Only 12 survived and all of them were almost dead when they were rescued by the border patrol. Here's the location of my review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just got a copy of the audio book for Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. Thanks Matthew for the recommendation. Also started reading Rage for the group read I read it a few years ago and was surprised at how good I thought it was. Have to check it out and see.
Second life by S.J Watson was ridiculously far fetched 2★ I also read from a poison pen volume 2 I rated that 4★ nice collection of short stories, now reading Strangers by Paul Finch
I'll finish Rage tonight, I think and will have a lot to say about it. So is there a location for the group read? Can't find it.
Finished Spawn of the winds and currently reading In the moons of Borea both by Brian Lumley and are the fourth and fifth books in the Titus Crow series
Currently reading The fall by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. This is the second in the strain trilogy
Read The cuckoos calling by Robert Galbraith now reading Camille by Pierre Lemaitre I've been looking forward to finishing this trilogy for ages

It's good so far, I've seen the three seasons of the tv series and can't wait for the fourth season to start.
That's how I felt about The Strain. I thought the book series was pretty good, overall, but I couldn't stick with the T.V. show. Now reading:
I just finished Life of Pi and started The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson.
I'm about halfway through Duma Key, which I am really enjoying. I'm also halfway through On Writing, and I really love it. Next up- I'm finally going to read the Locke & Key graphic novels, the set just came in the mail :).
I am currently reading Mine by Robert McCammon and I must say that the antagonist is disturbing. I am really enjoying it. If you haven't read it, give it a try.
I'm reading Roadwork I've got a very old copy of The bachman books which fell in half last night it's hanging together by the cover alone!
I'm currently reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin and I like it a lot. Hope to finish the series soon.
Kathrin wrote: "I'm currently reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin and I like it a lot. Hope to finish the series soon."One of my favorite series!

As of now, the first one is my favorite but the second book was close behind. I've got high hopes for this one and actually already plan to reread the series.
I finished The Lovely Bones a few days ago and I can't get it out of my head. You are all prolific readers so you have probably already read it but if you haven't I highly recommend it. The book is beautifully written. The first of the book is a little disturbing but it is so much more than just a crime novel. It is one of my favorite books and I went into it with some apprehension because of the very mixed reviews.
I read The Twelve quite a while after the Passage and characters felt foggy to me and I was quite lost. Before I pick up City of Mirrors I plan to reread The Passage and The Twelve again so I feel familiar with the assortment of characters that span over the course of time.Until then I am rereading Year of The Flood by Margaret Atwood after finishing Oryx and Crake a little bit ago so I can finally read MaddAddam.
The MaddAddam Trilogy: Oryx and Crake; The Year of the Flood; MaddAddamis also one of my favorite series!I reread both The Passage and The Twelve before reading The City of Mirrors. It had been such a long time since I had read them. I was glad I did. The ending of the series was perfect.

Nancy wrote: "I am reading The Turn of the Screw."In college, this was an assigned reading. I got sick over some holiday break and had to go into the infirmary overnight. Because of the holiday, no one was there (and I mean no one) just me alone, in a bed in the corner of an enormous room full of empty beds, almost no lights but my little bedside light, reading turn of the screw, listening to strange creaking noises everywhere, and absolutely FREAKING OUT.

Seed was my introduction to her as well. The Bird Eater is my favorite thus far, though.
