Squire (srboone) | 92 comments Pines (Wayward Pines, #1) by Blake Crouch Wayward (Wayward Pines, #2) by Blake Crouch The Last Town (Wayward Pines, #3) by Blake Crouch .

I finally got all three books from the library (I'd tried twice this year already, but only got two of them, so I'd returned them unread.)

E. | 242 comments I just finished The Troop. Most people fall somewhere in the middle in liking it, I loved it.

Currently reading The Hike. It's out-there, along the lines of John Dies at the End and very entertaining.

message 4204: by Michael (new)

Michael Davis I finally decided to take on The Selfish Gene.

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 335 comments Yesterday I finished Preacher, Volume 2: Until the End of the World. this is a shoking series, but I'm looking forward to read the third book.
Now I'm reading Uncle Dynamite, a funny story. I like Wodehouse's humor, his vivid way of describe scenes and characters. And, in this story I like lord Ickenham, an incredible character.

message 4222: by Kandice (new)

Kandice | 4387 comments I recently bought 'Salem's Lot (very, very late!), but planned on making myself finish the other books I had begun before starting. I am a noodle! Not only did I begin before I finished the two I was in, but also started If Life Is a Bowl of Cherries What Am I Doing in the Pits? out of boredom in a line last night!

My next goal is to force myself finish the actual book before allowing myself to read the "deleted scenes". Ha! Not holding my breath.

The Way of Kings is one of my favorite books. I hope you enjoy it!

I recently finished Shutter Island and it was really great. I think fans of Stephen King would enjoy it. I am currently reading The Lies of Locke Lamora

message 4233: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey (klpurcell) Having a really hard time getting into Lisey's Story. Is it just me, or did anyone else find it difficult to get into? Does it get better? Should I keep with it?

It's one of my very favorites, but you definitely have to get the feel of their marital "language" to really love the book.

MY proof reader should be shot too. After I paid her $$$$, a Goodreads friend read the book and found 80 (yes eighty) errors. Most of them were small like a missing quotation mark or something but still. I just republished. As for The Teacher... I like your recommendations, Rhian, so keep us posted. I'll check it out when I get a chance.

message 4245: by Stevo (new)

Stevo (stevop) | 230 comments The Langoliers. I deprioritise the SK short stories and novellas because I prefer the bigger stories that I can really settle into hence why I haven't already read Four Past Midnight. The Langoliers is unbelievable. He has so many things going on inside this story so it remains captivating once you get into it. Fantastic.

message 4246: by Rhian (new)

Rhian (rhianlovesbooksx1f4d6) | 508 comments Hi Nick sorry to hear that, thankfully the teacher was such a brilliant story I stopped noticing the errors I would definitely recommend it, so good I read it in 2 days and rated 5★

Thanks, Rhian. I just got The Teacher, and I'm also starting to listen to the audiobook of THE SHINING. Haven't read it in 12 years. So much internal monologue. Astoundingly good. I'd forgotten.
