What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
Gavin wrote: "Currently reading The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 3: Century"Loved this! Anything by Moore blows me away, but this series is so full of Easter Eggs and hidden meanings/clues that it's more than just reading. It's like exercising your brain. :)
I'm reading one of my favourite authors first 2 books. Wind/Pinball by Haruki Murakami. Feels like a portent to what's to come but in retrospect. :)
The second first law book- Before they are hanged and the second book of the dark elf trilogy - Exile
Finished Weaveworld and Career of Evil. Will have a review of Career up shortly. Thought it was great. Was hoping there was a preview of a book to come at the end... but not luck.
Just started "Cell". I'm worn out after just a couple of chapters. It hits the ground running, that's for sure.

Great review, Ken. Thanks again.
Banged Up Abroad: Hellhole: Our Fight to Survive South America's Prison System.Whilst I don't sympathise with drug mules, this is a truly terrifying true story
Just finished Abram's Bridge, a great, quick, thriller read. You can find my review at: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished reading The City of Mirrors. Awesome end to a great series. I will post a review soon.Tonight I am going to start Passenger.
Finished in a dark dark wood and really enjoyed after reading a few average books, next up is pretty girls by Karin Slaughter
Almost finished with MOBY DICK. First time I've ever read it, despite being an English major. But that's okay, because you need to come to this one at a time in your life when you're ready to come to it.
A couple of days ago I've finished Playback, a nice Marlowe's story, more sad than usual. Now I'm reading Dreamcatcher. I don't now know much about the story, I'll see going forward.

I'm looking forward to see what will happen. :)
You're welcome. I'm happy to know you like this group. Stephen King is a great source of stories to talk about.

Rhian wrote: "Finished in a dark dark wood and really enjoyed after reading a few average books, next up is pretty girls by Karin Slaughter"Would you recommend dark dark wood?
Hi Nick, yes I probably would recommend but I think it would appeal more to women only because it's about a hen party, I rated 5★ which is too high on reflection I think I was just relieved to read something good after a few poor books
Rhian wrote: "Hi Nick, yes I probably would recommend but I think it would appeal more to women only because it's about a hen party, I rated 5★ which is too high on reflection I think I was just relieved to read..."Thanks for the honest feedback. I may pass.
I just started Susanna Kearsley's A Desperate Fortune last night. I've never read her before but she has great reviews. Looking forward to getting deeper into the book.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Andrew wrote: "...but I hope there aren't too many books. I will die waiting between one and the other. :) "It's a trilogy :)

I'm nearly finished Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. I have less than a hundred pages left. I haven't decided on my next book yet.
Gary wrote: "I'm nearly finished Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. I have less than a hundred pages left. I haven't decided on my next book yet."You couldn't go wrong by following Mr. Mercedes with the sequel: Finders Keepers. IMHO, Finders is a much better book.
I finished The Ruins, a nice horror/thriller, better than hoped. Now I'm reading The Steampunk Trilogy, a book composed by three episodes. I read the first time ago and now I try to finish.
Finished Pretty girls by Karin Slaughter 4 ★ now reading into the darkest corner by Elizabeth Haynes I've been looking forward to reading it for ages
Rhian wrote: "Finished Pretty girls by Karin Slaughter 4 ★ now reading into the darkest corner by Elizabeth Haynes I've been looking forward to reading it for ages"That was a good one, albeit very graphic and disturbing.
I'm reading Brother which I can't help thinking would be King's cup of tea. Anyone ever come across his mentioning it?
Just started Within These Walls, by Ania Ahlborn. Really creepy novel, and I'm loving it. @Kandice I'll be starting Brother next!

And the final book of the trilogy, End of Watch, is coming out in less than a month (June 7), so you could knock out the whole trilogy at once!

I didn't even know he had adult stuff. I read all of those YA books as well. I am definitely going to check this one out.
