The ending does follow in the same vein as the rest of it... so, if you get past Antarctica and don't like it, you may not.

That's good, I really want to get through it! I've liked what I read so far, I just have such a hard time forcing myself to focus on ebooks. I think it's because of the screen lighting and stuff, sometimes it causes headaches.

Jamii (jamiilynnmarie) | 46 comments Oh Andrew, I saw some of your updates!!! I'm gonna charge up my iPad and just force myself through it!! It's really interesting and I wanna finish it, I just need to get over my ebook problem!!!

Fifty Shades of Grey was an ebook, though I powered through that book easier because my friend kept nagging me. She's already bugging me to read the second and third book but I have other reading obligations I need to get out of the way!!

Jeff (thelongwait) | 293 comments I have 3 eggers on my shelf....he was a David Foster Wallace fan and wrote the intro in my paperback copy of Infinite Jest. Plus he started McSweeney's which published one of my all time faves: the Instructions by Adam Levin.

Jeff (thelongwait) | 293 comments Damn! Just got a copy of the Broom of the System by David Foster Wallace and just had to start it.

message 2593: by E. (new)

E. | 242 comments About half way through Plum Island. It's an excellent murder mystery, and the main character is pretty funny. At first I thought his smart a$$ attitude would get tedious, but I'm still laughing, and very intrigued.
Highly recommend it, and it might get 5stars if the ending is well done

message 2594: by Nick (new)

Nick Iuppa | 4272 comments Okay, longwait, you got me interested in David Foster Wallace, so I'm downloading the audiobook of Infinite Jest (even though I really have to dedicate my audiobook time pretty soon to Pimsler's Italian (for our upcoming trip in May). I may try to sneak in a re-read of Pet Cemetery too. Jitterbug Perfume is a really great evening read too.

message 2595: by Jeff (new)

Jeff (thelongwait) | 293 comments Good luck Nick, but with the footnotes and all, I think it needs to be read.

message 2596: by Jeff (new)

Jeff (thelongwait) | 293 comments Truly a genius and my favorite author, Nick. I picked up my copy of Infinite Jest for $10 new. It's 1,079 pages with over 300 footnotes.

Actually, Kirstin, they invited me, but I haven't responded because I saw the length of the thing. Thought I'd start and see if I could keep up.
