It is. And the story gets more interesting going forward.

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 335 comments I've finished The Girl in the Ice, a good thriller, with so many exciting moments. Today I started The Bridge Over the River Kwai, a classical and a movie I've seen many times. I'm curious to read the book, now. :)

Derrick | 974 comments My book finally came in at the library. A Man of Honor and actually it's the autobiography of Joe Bonanno. I divide my time fairly evenly between Stephen King and nonfiction organized crime/gangster/mafia type stuff. Started out reading the fictional mafia tales. Mario Puzo is pretty amazing and for way more than just The Godfather. Then I found the nonfiction stuff to be much more interesting and much more entertaining. It's like wow you really can't make this stuff up. Fast forward to now and I'm obsessed. I can't get enough. I just want to read more and more and more nonfiction about organized crime. I've read so many already. Looking for differences and similarities and maybe even little tidbits I didn't know about. I'm sure my name is on some kind of list because the books have all come from my local library.

Jenny a.k.a....Jenny from the block | 725 comments If you are into the nonfiction then I would recommend; ” I heard you paint houses”... I grew up in this time frame and what defense attorney Charles Brandt said about the life of Frank Sheeran, an alleged mafia hitman who confesses the crimes he committed while working for the Bufalino crime family; Is real and believable...

Charles | 96 comments Hey Derrick, my wife has an interesting method. She puts the titles of all of her books on little strips of paper as soon as she buys them and puts them in a bowl. Whichever one she draws out of the bowl is her next book.

That's a really good idea! Unfortunatly, I don't actually buy very many books. Most of the books I read come from my local library. This way, I read them and they go right back. Otherwise I'd have hundreds of books and I just don't have the space in my apartment.

I'm reading this because one of my groups is reading it this month. If I like it I'll probably go to the first one next. I've just started it. I'm on page 20.

Derrick | 974 comments I just finished A Man of Honor. I really enjoyed it. I've decided on Mr. X by Peter Straub for my next read. I've never read anything written by him before nor have I read The Talisman or The Black House. I'm excited to see what his writing is like. Hopefully it arrives quickly at my local library.

Thanks Erin! Stephen King has nothing but good things to say about Peter Straub. I'm sure it'll be awesome.

It's our 2nd baby. We have a 3 year old. Things were just starting to get into a rhythm and then the new baby came and we're in chaos again, haha. But it's all fun. I try to keep up with readings while trying to rock the baby to sleep.
