Are there any Torey Hayden fans out there? I usually don't like non-fiction books much but her writing style and stories are amazing! ( she talks about cases that she has encountered in her job as a "special needs" teacher)...

This is a much better story than it seems to be even three-quarters of the way through. So, in this one case, even if you dislike the book, please disregard my usual advice to toss it unfinished into the recycle bin or give it to the library, and instead please read all the way to the end.
I really don't give too much of the plot away so if you want to read more of what I have to say about THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN... check it my full review.

Nick; I like what you said in hour review and I keep on trucking. The reason I pick this one up was because of all the good hubbub from people who I work with; so I had to check this out for myself.

It's great. The plot has a steady pace with easy to get into prose. Highly recommend it.

Cool beans. I have yet to read beyond Miss Peregrines. Not sure why not, as I have all the books; but we shall see.
Just finished a graphic novel of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories and poems by Garath Hinds. It is a wonderful book.
I’m reading Crucible. Hopefully it’s better than the last few Sigma novels, but so far it’s overwritten and unimaginative.
I'm 3 deep in on the Sigma novels and loving the series4th one is on my list for later this year. Since I'm a scientist by educating I'm totally digging them

I was fine until book 6. I’m finding his writing is getting less sophisticated with each novel. The situations are still exciting, but the character development and prose style isn’t anywhere near as good as Rollins’ earlier work.
Currently reading Summer of Night by Dan Simmons. Heard it talked up as a good one for fans of It, but it's been underwhelming 2/3 of the way through. Maybe my expectations were set too high...

Erin wrote: "The President Is Missing"I loved this book. When I was reading it I heard Clinton's voice as the title character.
