Costas wrote: "I'm currently on the third book of the SOIAF series; A Storm of Swords"That is one series that I'm not going to read until it's complete. The books are so spaced apart that I don't want to be agonizing for the next one to come out after catching up to what he has finished. That and he's no spring chicken anymore. Anything could happen to the guy. So patiently I'll wait...
James Franco gets his share of bad press but he's really quite smart. I enjoyed the episode of Iconoclasts he did on Sundance Channel. Unique idea for a show.
I ordered The Shining and it should be here next week. I chose this one as my second King book to read.

Starting on The Adventures of Tom Sawyer I didn't read the book when I was a kid so I'm thinking no time like the present.

Twain couldn't be as plain spoken as he probably would have liked to be, but I still get the feeling that King is trying to create a little piece of Mark Twain Americana.

That's probably a good choice. The books are kinda slow-paced, so it would be better to read the books in batch.
Just finished Dr Sleep... well gutted about it. It had such potential. Started
Toes Up by my friend Adam Light. Great stuff so far.
Malina, that one is on my list. Grisham has failed to excite me lately, but this sounds awesome. Can't wait to hear how it is.
Adam wrote: "Jacob is reading my book. Awesome! Thanks for the support, my friend!"No bother, mate. It's a beauty so far! Gone was awesome
Jacob wrote: "Hi, Misty. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Toes-Up-Adam-Li..."I just checked it out on Amazon and it looks great. I'm getting a copy, though I've got a few things to finish reading first.
I'm reading in addition to Tom Sawyer, Allen Carrs Easy Way to Stop Smoking. Hoping it works as well as some say it does.
Right now I'm reading
by Vincent Bugliosi and after that looking forward to starting
by
Stephen King!
I'm having a Light brothers bonanza. Finished
Don't need no water by Evans Light earlier today. Intense as hell. Also reading
Toes Up by Adam Light. Two very talented dudes :-)

I always do the same!
i'm reading world war z
,i wanna read it before i watch the movie to see the diference, and the book, so far so good,i have already read the part of paul redeker and i think he's a very interesting character,i love it,very human!
Misty wrote: "Facundo wrote: "i'm reading world war z

Kathryn wrote: "I'm reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen."Hey: I just listened to the audio book a few days ago, and thought it was great... surprisingly tightly written for a story from so long ago. Also, was caught up in how limited the options were for a young woman and how really desperate things could become. Family and "money for survival" seemed to be the driving forces in every young woman's life. I guess you were damn lucky if love could ever enter into it. Obvious stuff... huh? That's what it's all about. BTW - the reading of the audio book by Joanna Lumley was really great. I searched for a reader who seemed age appropriate for the characters in the story, and she was definitely the best I could find. Great job.
I've finished
Toes Up by Adam Light and
Housemates by Iain Rob Wright and have really enjoyed both of them. Thinking Summer I Died might be next
Adam wrote: "Thanks, Jacob. I'm glad you liked my book! The Summer I Died is amazing. You will surely love it."We seem to have similar tastes, mate, so I reckon it's very likely. Toes Up was good, the new story and Gone were the standouts :-)
I am reading
right now as part of my goal to read all the classics (I'm only a couple chapters in but so far I am loving it!) I am also reading
and thoroughly enjoying it!
Misty wrote: "Facundo wrote: "i'm reading world war z

Nancy wrote: "Reading "Cujo" next :)"Maybe it's just a "little boy" thing, but I always thought that the first few pages of Cujo were the scariest thing I ever read in my life... or maybe it's scary as hell for any little kid... with a closet.
