How are you doing tonight Linda.

On Writing is a great book, I think. An autobiography as well as some lessons on how to write a novel.

Absolutely!!!! And exclamation points.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Also Read Woman in the Dark by Dashiell Hammett. One of Hammet's forgotten shorter works and forgotten for good reason. It felt like a disjointed first draft. Rating - 2/5.

The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman Okay of a book but not one of her best
Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane not as good as i though it would be
The Good Girl by Mary Kubica I really like this one

Also finished a long listen to Anne Rice's The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. And I dared to review it.

Also still working on "Zoo" by James Patterson. I like it better than the TV series they made "based on" it.

I thought Zoo was pretty good and I agree with you about the TV show.

I know hard translations are! I remember trying to translate something from French to English in school. Sometimes things get "lost" in translation since there's no equivalent English word!

True! And I actually think it was expressed much more deeply in Japanese !

I find that odd, since the Japanese are not known to embrace emotions or expressing them...esp. deeply. It's a cultural thing. Being too open with feelings or opinions is generally taboo...(In other Asian countries too, like China. So not just Japan)
Not saying everyone is like that of course..Just in general. :-)
