Seriously stay away from these books.
WASTE OF TIME.

Why do we have do avoid unhappiness? It's a valid emotion.

How is she obnoxious and not not happy? Although she's a little clingy.

Have you ever been depresed do you know what it is like? because it is not fun! I mean I didn't get mine because a dude left me but I understand how she felt.

AGREE

The way she stay depressed in this book wasn't healthy and for a girl her age be suicidal because of a bad break up is too much...when you are 17 and have your hole life ahead of you, you shouldn't think about almost ending it just so you can hallucinate with some guy you barely know.
I don't really like Bella, there are vampire stories and heroines out there who are much better than her in so many ways and I really think that her relationship with Edward wasn't healthy at all.
I agree with Jackie she should have thought better before she accepted Edward back, he broke her heart just because he thought their relationship was a hazard to her...well what good would that do everyone already knew they used to date and spend 100% of their time together so she would be in danger with or without him.

*agrees* i am not sure if i would read it again though...

its not that she tries to kill herself. I mean she only did something daring. and she knew that other people have lived. andshe didnt know that victoria was out there.
(sorry for the ands.)
and she didnt know about the bad weather.

2. Edward uses her like an expirament, a drug, at least thats how i see it, there is no love there.
3.No one get's THAT depressed over a guy.
4. Over all, i just hated the series, but new moon was the worst one, slow, no action.

2. Edward uses her like an expirament, a drug, at least thats how i see it, there is no love there.

1. Bella is lame, correct.
2. Edward was trying to save Bella by avoiding her. You need to read the whole story to understand it.
3. In real life, no human falls in love with vampire. In real life, people even die of broken heart. You need to know more about a broken heart.
I do not like New Moon because there are lots of lame and obsessive Jacob in the story.

For being depressed because of a broken heart part, I witnessed someone who was stupid enough to meet her demise because of that. Do not underestimate a broken heart. I do not think Stephenie was stupid enough to just create the story if she thought no one will ever commit suicide because of a broken heart.
But I agree that Bella is annoying.

Anyways, that's just a theory of mine...

I know, i agree. I didn't even read it all. I found it really hard to read a lot of parts of the books. That was one big one. I also found it seriously hard to read all of "New Moon". Bella just sulked the whole way through the book, well...until Edward came back anyway.

Well technically she tried to kill herself because she was obsessed with Edward and i bet you edward would have done the same!!!I love the twilight saga and especially New Moon!!
What? I really don't Aalisha's comment.

2. Edward uses her like an expirament, a drug, at least thats how i see it, there is no love there.
3.No one g..."
well its to bad that you took my opinion so seriously, its only a book, and its what i thought, im not saying its wrong or right, im not stating a fact, let's leave it at that.

agreed in every way(:

Nope. I was not serious during my reply. I simply commented a comment. Isn't it what we suppose to do during discussion?...:) A fact is what has been written in the book. We are here to give away our opinions about what we feel. Cheers!

Because that's how Meyer wants to develop Bella's character. True, she's clingy, obsessed, and not a really good example for teenage girls, but that's her character. True she's addicted in a way that really unhealthy, remember how Jacob told her that Edward is like a drug, that it consumes her; that's how she feels and that's how she coped up with being depressed (doing something dangerous, just to hear Edward's voice).
Meyer wants the readers to see how much Bella and Edward love each other (to the point of destroying themselves), it's not healthy and it doesn't bring anything positive to the emotions of the reader, but that's how some wants it, dark and negative.
Personally, I don't like her character, as a female of this century I wish to exude my independence. So, I don't take the book and it's characters seriously.
