Thanks Alyssa, I hope so I've been wanting to read it now for awhile so this gives me the perfect chance to do so

Kat, only BOM whilst we are playing are eligible, however Defiance is on the Group's Bookshelves, so it qualifies :)

Awesome thanks Sandra :)

message 104: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Yeah. I just realized I'm wrong. But, Sandra beat me to suggesting that it might be on the group bookshelf.

Thanks, Sandra. At least Judithe isn't around right this second to whip me as punishment.

Everything looks good for Team Fifteen Judithe.

I totally know about the fingers wanting to just spell things the way they want. Heroines is one of those words for me too.

And seem to have mis-posted above that...now gotta find the thread with the question! That'll teach me to not open so many windows at one time...!

ETA: found it, and it was answered so deleted that out-of-place post!

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments LOL! I typed it a few times while creating the bingo cards. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that there is a shelf for it.

message 129: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments Considering some of the books on that shelf, I would say Judithe isn't the only person who had a little typo problem.

message 130: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I know, Daffodil!

And thanks, Heather!

message 137: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Shelf! Shelf! Shelf!!

I have a book hangover since finishing Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh so I'm looking forward to the shelf this afternoon to pick my next read!!

message 138: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments For those of you who have read Shadow's Claim (The Dacians, #1) by Kresley Cole ...do I need to be up date in the IAD series to read it?

I'm looking for books for the hard to find shelves and so far I'm having the most trouble with Paranormal Mix. It only has 319 books (that problem has been going on for a while where the books in the shelves are overestimated for some crazy reason) and the books I haven't read are mostly from series that don't interest me.

Sigh...

message 139: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments D.G., experiencing the same book hangover...

message 140: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Yowza on the shelf bit! Nasty surprise, and we were sadly unaware...eek!

message 141: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments DG, I asked someone the same question. I think it was Josie (can't remember) who said you may wanna be up-to-date before reading that one b/c it has 1 or more characters from IAD. Not certain though - maybe someone else can answer that for ya.

?!? Crap. I was certain I'd made sure all shelves had waaaay more books than 300. Off to check.

Phew. Okay, the shelf we're linking to currently has 1,165 books on it. So, there must be more than one with that similar name.

message 142: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Steph wrote: "Phew. Okay, the shelf we're linking to currently has 1,165 books on it. So, there must be more than one with that similar name. "

Steph, the shelf says 1,165 but when you scroll through to page 7 the list comes to an end and there are actually 319 books.

message 143: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments Aw, man, COME.ON. WTH, Goodreads?! :/ Ok. We'll have to come up with something similar to use instead.

message 144: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments What shelf are you looking at.

message 145: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/p...
It says (showing 1-50 of 1,165) at the top of the page, which is why I chose it. But, when you click on page #7, it says (showing 301-319 of 319).

message 146: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 1179 comments Steph do you think all of us players should go through our read books (ones we have no intention of reading or rereading through the game) and add some that fit that shelf to that shelf?

message 147: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments No, that's okay, but thanks for the thought, Jenne. :) We'll come up with an alternative. Of course, we could go the whole game without that shelf ever coming up, but ya never know. Best to have an alternative handy, just in case.

message 148: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments That is so weird. Has this happened to any other shelves?

message 149: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michelle_mc) | 2158 comments I just checked another shelf - Paranormal Creatures

http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/p...

It does the same thing! Supposedly over 3000 books but it ends at page 18... What's going on with Goodreads??

message 150: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32724 comments While looking for an alternative, I clicked on the last page and the total book count did drop on each. Normally that's not a big deal b/c I typically pick shelves that have well over 1,000 books on them. This one was one of the smaller offerings and the inaccurate count brought it much lower than I'd like for a game like this. I'll just have to remember to keep an eye out for that in future. I get that the total is always in flux (with people adding and removing), but that's a big difference.
