Well, not personally, but I was there during the hour long panel. He was hilarious!

He was in town to participate in the Southern Festival of Books and there were a TON of people there to see him. Due to the crowd, he didn't personally sign books, but I preordered a presigned copy for the event.

It was still a bunch of fun, though. :)

message 118: by Riya (new)

Riya That's so cool though!! He seems like he'd be really funny!

He was! He talked about how he started writing mythology and his books. He had a powerpoint of different pictures like his family and different book covers. And then he said, "And then Hollywood called." And when he clicked to the next page, there was a picture of a trainwreck! Lol.

message 120: by Riya (new)

Riya Haha- that's awesome!!!!! And it's nice that he had pictures with his family :)

Sweeeet!

I actually just got Allegiant and I got it for $7, since the store was going out of business and selling everything half off.

I was spoiled not long after it came out, though, so I don't know if I'll read it or not. :( But at least I have it if I want to....

message 147: by Riya (new)

Riya So I went on Friday to Barnes and Noble, and this is what I got: Gone, I Am the Messenger, Graceling, The Night Circus, Xenocide, The Warlock, and I bought the Truth About Forever as a gift for my sister!

message 148: by Riya (new)

Riya I'm also gonna buy a TON more next week since I'm getting money for Christmas, so that'll be my gift! :)

message 149: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 3369 comments Mod
I got a ton of books for Christmas! :D

Here's the list: The Lost Prince, The Program, Fifteen Minutes, Fathomless, Antigoddess, Crown of Midnight, Temptation, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Clockwork Angel, Plain Peace, A Simple Faith, and For Every Season.

Looks like I've got a lot of reading to do!

message 150: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (deathserum) On Boxing Day I bought Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Pandora's Box by Giselle Green and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. They seem really difficult to read (for a 15 year old anyways), but I only ever read YA, contemporary and distopia and I want to read some more classics and see what's out there. I might like these books, I might not and find them hard to read but they were 3 for $10 so why not?
