LMBO! Sorry, Steven.
LMBO! Sorry, Steven.

Oh that stinks :(

I am aware that leaves me a sizable gap in series numbers. My #3 is about 75% and I have a #4 chosen and waiting by my bedside. What will fill the #5 slot is a complete mystery.

I didn't think about it at the time but thinking back it didn't feel like an over 400 page book.
But it is not easy to always know as the book I am reading now is about 330 pages but feels like 500 LOL

Lisa, I couldn't win anyways, but was having fun building a consecutive streak.
I think this might be our August challenge too :)
You'll find one, Evana! :)

Sharpe's Prey
Sharpe #5

338 pages
I will now go and start my number 7 after I have cooked lunch.

My number SEVEN:
Merrick
The Vampire Chronicles #7

370 pages
This book went faster than expected, I really enjoyed it.

Working on #4 and still clueless for what I will read for a #5.

Jane's back in the lead with 7 points :)
I hope everyone is enjoying this mini-challenge.
We will probably do the same thing for August's NBRC Tower Teams "Make-Your-Own-Cuz-The-Mods-Are-Off" Challenge :) (with some tweaks)

Wedding Cake Killer (Fresh Baked series #7), by Livia J. Washburn
finished 5/28, 320 pgs

Now, I have the first four in a row done,I'll be starting no.5. I hope to finish and maybe start book 6 by the end of the challenge dates.
Real life has got in the way of my reading this week. Grrwwl.

Dragonwell Dead (Tea Shop #8), by Laura Childs
finished 5/29, 304 pgs
This is likely to be the end of the line for me, unless I can find a book #9 somewhere in my own personal collection. My library system was supposed to have the book I wanted to use for #9, but it's no longer available :(
And can I say a big THANK YOU to the powers that be at GR who *finally fixed the search glitch that's been driving everyone crazy all weekend long!

My number EIGHT:
Guards! Guards!
Discworld #8

388 pages
I was a bit apprehensive about starting this book as I seem to remember trying to read a Discworld book many years ago and not succeeding. My brother has read most of these and last summer said this was a good book to start of with.
It was. I quite liked it and I might try more after this.

I am hopeless with challenges. Because I read a number 10 as one of the first books I push myself to reach that. My husband shakes his head and then he helps me find the books I need.

He discovered Dewey's Read-a-Thon a few days before the October 2011 event. We looked at each other and thought that was absolutely crazy reading for 24 hours and then promptly signed up to take part. That was my first reading challenge ever and now I take part in lots of different challenges.

My partner is NOT a reader. And when I say "not a reader" I mean he's read three books in the past 4 years... so barely even a blip on the reading radar :(

So I finished my book number NINE:
All Summer Long
Fool's Gold #9

384 pages
I will now get ready for Moderator's 7% Solution for June/July Challenge.

My partner is NOT a reader. And when I say "not a reader" I mean he's read three books in the past 4 years... so barely even a blip on the reading radar :("
All four of us in my immediate family -- hubby, son and daughter, plus me -- are readers. That's why we have so many bookcases around the house LOL I read the most, but daughter is a close second, now that she's done with school. Hubby reads mostly non-fiction, in very specialized fields, but he still reads. Son has the least time to read, but he's got a Kindle full of a wide variety of books, as does his wife.
My mom is a very avid reader, which is probably where I picked it up. My father, brother and SIL, on the other hand, don't read at all -- unless you count the daily newspaper, and that's only my father. I can't remember the last time I saw my brother or his wife pick up a book of ANY kind :\

Well that's me done for the challenge. Onto to the next one, I'm actually looking forward to my category.
Go Mango Tango!

Remember, to make it easier for our Steven to keep track of the books we read for this challenge, ONLY COMPLETED BOOKS and the challenge options they fit should be posted HERE Please, NO CHATTER in that thread, not even book talk :)
And, last but not least, keep an eye on 7% Non-Reading Games & Puzzles for opportunities for our team to win 'cupcakes' that might be beneficial later in the Tower challenge overall! They're not required, but they're great for fun breaks from reading :)

Evana, I started that series, but had to put the first book down (and I NEVER quit books, maybe three my whole life) because he went on so many tangents and went into way too much detail every other paragraph about history and inventions and technology and UGH! I wanted to read a good story about Atlantis!!! X)

Congratulations, JANE! :D
(please send me your email address so I can send you a Kindle gift card!!!)
Hope everyone enjoyed this challenge!
We will probably do another challenge just like this one for the August challenge, with perhaps a tweak or two :)
