Creatures besides vampires and werewolves making the heroine immortal

We’ve all read stories where the vampire or werewolf hero bites the heroine and makes her into a vampire or werewolf and therefore immortal.

Can anyone suggest any other paranormal creatures that made the heroines immortal? For instance, in Amy Plum’s Die For Me series the hero is a revenant and the heroine becomes one too.

Now that was a nice change. I’m a bit fed up of vampires and werewolves. So can anyone tell me of any paranormal creatures other than vampires and werewolves that made the heroines immortal, and how they did it?

or any where the heroine achieves immortality without the help of the hero will also do. thanks!

Well, there's Jenna Black's Nikki Glass series, starting with Dark Descendant. It has to do with gods, and their descendants.

Maybe try by Gena Showalter. He's an angel on the edge of falling, and she has been harassed by demons ever since a family tragedy that happened a few years prior to the start of the story.

She goes through changes as the book progresses, but I don't want to spoil it. Mostly because I don't remember exactly how it happened...

In the heroine gets a magic necklace that ties her immortality to her dragon shifter mate (or something along those lines). Now that I think about it though I don't know if they are immortal per se as opposed to just really, really long-lived. That's the best I can do!

No Vamps or Werewolves...Immortality and just a touch of something magically wonderful! This one is my favourite of the Highlander series but they are ALL great reads.

Hum, good question Vidya, since you are right and most of the "creatures" who turn their mates into immortals are either vampires or werewolves. Well, mostly vampires, since not all worlds have immortal (or near immortal) werewolves. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread during the search for more creatures. And books that I haven't read yet.

LOL...It is a great read. I love this series, really anything by her is usually a 5 star read for me.
