Wikipedia has it well organized: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ender...

Earth Unaware
Earth Afire
Earth Awakens
First Meetings in Ender's Universe
Ender's Game
Ender's Shadow (Note: The events of Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow take place in roughly the same time period.)
A War of Gifts (Note: This takes place during Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow.)
Shadow of the Hegemon
Shadow Puppets
Shadow of the Giant
Ender in Exile (Note: This takes place during Shadow of the Hegemon and through Shadow of the Giant)
Shadows in Flight
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
Shadows Alive

Notice that Earth Unaware, Earth Afire, and Earth Awakens are prequels and are about the First Formic War. Earth Awakens has not been published yet. First Meetings is a collection of short stories. Two of the short stories take place before Ender's Game, one is the short story Ender's Game, and one takes place after. Shadows Alive also hasn't been published yet. There also is a chart on Wikipedia which illustrates the chronological order pretty well.

The original sequence is Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind.

Ender's Shadow, which runs parallel to Ender's Game and focuses on Bean, is followed by Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, and Shadows in Flight.

Ender in Exile is a much more recent "in-between" book (there are probably more of these, of which I'm presently unaware).

So it goes Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow. Then the Shadow Saga/Ender in exile then the ender quartet. Earth Unaware is a prequel.

Wow i didn't know some of these exsisted! Thanks Ella!

Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow are by far the best books in the series

You guys made it so complicated.. I just read Enders game/speaker for te dead/xenocide/children of the mind and now im gonna read the shadow series. Then after that maybe ill read the short stories that go in between.

Robert you should definetly read the stories that go in between, each have little nuggets of background that is interesting.

it is a very complicated ordering of books. The best advise i can give is to make sure to read ender's game first. The shadow series needs be be done in order. Also the rest of the Ender saga needs to be in order( Ender's game, Speaker, Xenocide, and children on the mind) But I think the smaller books don't really have an order, they are random. But i haven't read exile yet.

Yes, Cherie . This was how they were originally published. Some of the later stories are not as well written and I think actually detract somewhat from the series.
