I think you meant 16 points (because name is worth 5) and then a total of 21 points.

Vicki Haha, I added 16 & counted again and got 17. Thanks :)

I see what I did wrong! I can't add! LOL

Vicki Sami, you and I both made an error on our post for this past week. We both forgot to add the author's name, Brenda for one point.

Megan I'm having a hard time coming up with something to read for this week! The two books I've found so far are:

You Are Not So Smart Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself by David McRaney - Genre + Title + Name + Setting (year) + 4 of the hidden words = 20 points

Bathsheba (The Wives of King David #3) by Jill Eileen Smith - Genre + Cover + Name + Setting (year) + 3 of the hidden words = 17 points

I'm going to keep looking for something, but this week is hard!

message 55: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki I know and I thought with having the word "with" in the title that it would be much easier. LOL I guess not.

Megan I did too!

Megan I can't remember, do other covers count? If so, You Are Not So Smart Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself by David McRaney has a different version You Are Not So Smart Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself by David McRaney which has a man with a tie, so that would make that book worth 22 points!

message 58: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki I'm pretty sure any version works as long as it's not an international version. I don't think to use a cover that is in German, for example, would be right unless you read it in German. 22 points is GREAT!

message 59: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki Does that book fit the plot of friend to lovers? It just doesn't seem like it would. Or is that what it's missing?

Megan Vicki wrote: "Does that book fit the plot of friend to lovers? It just doesn't seem like it would. Or is that what it's missing?"
Yep, that's what it's missing.

Megan Vicki wrote: "I'm pretty sure any version works as long as it's not an international version. I don't think to use a cover that is in German, for example, would be right unless you read it in German."
It looks to be in English, just a different publisher. And I agree, it's only right to use a cover that is in the same language as the one you are going to be reading.

message 62: by Sami (last edited May 26, 2013 11:21AM) (new)

Sami Gisbelle said last time it's ok to use any cover/edition, that's how Augusti got a 26 pointer last round I think.

Oh thanks for checking the hidden words! So 21 points.. looks like You Are Not So Smart Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself by David McRaney might be better

message 63: by Sami (new)

Sami So I couldn't find that or any of the books I chose at the library, and I don't want to spend any more money on this (sorry!)

Just Friends by Robyn Sisman is available though, so I should be able to get it :)

That's great Sami. We can discuss it privately via emails if we want or need to do so. LOL

Even if the edition is in a language that we can't read? WOW! I could have been boosting my points! LOL

Sami Vicki wrote: "Even if the edition is in a language that we can't read?"

Yes yes I actually don't recall a time Gisbelle said 'no' to anything during the first round! lol :D

And ys we can discuss things via email

Megan Just thought I'd share the book that Lisa from Curious 4 read for this week, it's worth 25 points!

Goddess with a Blade by Lauren Dane
Goddess with a Blade by Lauren Dane

Hidden Words - airport, apartment, company, sister

It isn't a book that I'd be interested in reading, but thought I'd share it in case one of you guys already own it or would be interested in reading it.

message 68: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki Haha, I was thinking about reading this one because I accidentally came across it and began it today, and I'm really into it already. I had no idea it was worth 25 points though. Lol How ironic.

I'm officially switching and I will finish it by tomorrow night unless something unforeseen comes up. :)

Finished day 2

I just thought I'd put it here until we all post to claim our points. I will write a review probably tomorrow because my eyes are sore. LOL

message 70: by Sami (new)

Sami Oh, brilliant Vicki!! I wish I'd read that one instead as it's worth more. Never mind now!

Was it good?

message 71: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki I really liked it. I wrote my review last night so you can check it out. I just haven't posted it on our thread. Hopefully we get our points this time for early finish!

I'm ready for week 4!

Megan Found two books so far:

Paul Is Undead The British Zombie Invasion by Alan Goldsher
Paul Is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion by Alan Goldsher - 20 points (view spoiler)

Shakespeare Undead (Shakespeare Undead, #1) by Lori Handeland
Shakespeare Undead by Lori Handeland - 22 points (view spoiler)

message 73: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki Thanks Megan!

Megan The Shakespeare one might be worth more, waiting to see what Gisbelle says about a few of the hidden words.

message 75: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki It's not about zombies is it?

Megan They both are about zombies.

message 77: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki Haha Shakespeare and zombies? That's news to me!

Megan I know! I have never read a zombie book, so I don't know if I will like it or not, but it sounds interesting. I placed a request for Shakespeare Undead at my library, so if I can get it in time I will read that one. Otherwise I'll probably go with the other one, unless I find something else.

message 79: by Vicki (new) - added it

Vicki Great! Enjoy!

Megan Thanks!

message 81: by Sami (new)

Sami Oh gosh Zombie books :D... this book challenge is really broadening my reading scope.

message 82: by Sami (new)

Sami Ok I don't see the point of me looking for books because you lot always find better books than me anyway, but hey points for effort eh? :D

The V Club - (view spoiler) - 14 plus maybe 5 hidden words

Sami K. wrote: "You Are So Undead to Me (Megan Berry, #1) by Stacey Jay

This is the book I want to read for next week."

Ooh what points does it have? looks interesting

message 84: by Sami (new)

Sami I think I can get a copy of Paul Is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion but it's only audiobook, does anyone know if that's allowed?

Also I'm seeing the Beatles in it, I hope it's easy to understand for a non-Beatles fan.

message 85: by Sami (new)

Sami Hi so my review for Paul is Undead is there sadly I did not like ithttp://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
