Adam? or Warner?

I've just finished reading shatter me a couple of weeks ago and I'm going to read Warner's story and the rest of the series. I'm team Adam and I don't think my mind is going to change . Warner keeps imposing himself on Juliette and forcing her to love him. That's my biggest problem with Warner.

At first, I absolutely despised Warner in the first book [Shatter Me].But then I read Unravel me, and now that I see his vulnerable side, TEAAAAAAMMMMMM WAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRNERRRRRR!

Warner, on the other hand, encourages her and loves the fact that she's grown into a strong independent woman. When she was with Adam she was "Adam's girl" not "Juliette the strong female protagonist who loves Adam". When she ends up with Warner, the become "Warner and Juliette" not "Warner's girl". Because let's face it, the girl's a natural born leader and wouldn't last long as "Adam's girl".
I have veen team warner since day 1 ahahah. in shatter me i was already heartbroken because i thoguht there would have been no chance but oh god, bless Mafi.
Honestly I'm so torn. You read the first book and cheer for Adam, after that it's Team Warner. Adam is still a cool guy, but it kinda PO-ed me when he didn't "like" Juliette's tough side. He always saw her as a flower. Let a woman stick up for herself! She's finally come out of her shell.

Team Warner all the way! I did like Adams character in the first book though!
I liked Adam in Shatter Me but after that I grew to love Warner and Adam becomes a problematic character and I feel like he's toxic for Juliette so warner ftw

well for Juliette. . . in the beginning she was like a scared, tortured little girl who needed protection from "this transitory world" and Adam kinda wanted someone to protect. And also Adam was the only person in the whole wide world she could touch so they fell for each other by default. But then Juliette grew more independent and strong and she didn't need protection anymore and Adam still wanted to be able to, like, protect her. I know i'm saying protect a lot but there aren't many other words to use. And then Warner liked whoever she became and liked that she was strong and independent. He let her be who she wanted to be, whereas Adam was sorta holding her back. Warner encouraged her and stuff. And he would do anything for her. so really, I'm Team Warner now.
unfortunately now I immediately have a crush on anyone named Adam :) somehow I still have a sweet spot for him

Honestly, SHATTER ME is way too covenient. (Juliette being able to tough Adam.) I don't care if. . .*spoiler alert*. . .Adam can turn off people's powers or Aaron has the same ability as Jules. Whatever. But having the two plausible love interests get to touch her no problemo is just dumb and it can still be great if she can't touch one. Just makes the story less convincing and emotional.

I'm actually not a very big fan of steamy romance. Personally, I like to see characters build a connection that goes way beyond passion, kissing, and sex. If a relationship is ever going to last, you need to be more than bed-mates. People go out and sleep with total strangers and never see them again, so I need something a little more convincing than; "he's a GREAT kisser!"
Plus, reading about someone's sexual experience is kinda gross. Even if it is fiction, I don't need/want to know everything. I get that a lot of people enjoy that, but it isn't my cup of tea. Usually when I answer questions about romance in YA, I take in the fact that most people enjoy reading about it. But personally, I don't care for it.

After having read all three books, I'm also Team Warner. Adam beacame way too clingy and he started treating Juliette like an object or a posession. Warner, on the other hand, seems to connect with her on a whole different level and I think we can't deny the fact that Juliette starts to accept herself because Warner accepts her for who she is. Also, I have kind of a thing for the broken ones who want to do better but don't know how to.. :D

I think that Warner was just misunderstood during the first book, though some of his actions are a little skeptical, his heart was in the right place. Adam was always the 'good guy', he was projected as honest, caring and perfect for Juliette, but was he?
I really like adam as a character, but i think that Juliette is more herself and free to express that when she is with Warner. she learns from his experience and they complement each other very well.
Adam and Juliette only worked for a short time, there is a reason to this.
