Just finished Home Again, Home Again - Nadine Christian. Now I am picking up Angels Dawn - Komali da Silva.
John wrote: "I'm in the middle of King and Maxwell by David Baldacci. Excellent so far."King and Maxwell was an excellent book. A must read is the first King and Maxwell book David Baldachi wrote Split Second. You will want more as you read how the pair got together.
Barbara wrote: "I'm reading Cold Service
by Robert B. Parker"An excellent read for anyone who is a Spencer fan. I am sure there are many.
I'm reading
by Robert Galbraith . And I'm having a real I hard time getting through it. I don't know what the problem is the story is interesting enough.
Slightly nervous about The Cuckoos Calling, as I loved Harry Potter. Not sure how Rowling would fare with an adults book.
I stopped by the local library yesterday and they were having a mid-winter mystery sale by friends of the library. Got some real deals.
The Ghost Riders of Ordebec /Fred Vargas
Dollmaker/ Joseph Robert Janes
The Mountains Have a Secret/ Arthur W. Upfield
Total Chaos/ Jean-Claude Izzo
Now all I need is the time to read.

It ended up being one of the few books I finally gave up on. I just couldn't do it. I loved her writing style in the Potter series, but I could not force myself to finish that book.

Peace, Seeley
Just finished
and was surprised that I liked it. Why? Development of character (this maybe one of Jance's first Joanne Brady series), her observations of daily life and how we, who are following different paths in life, function, and too, the local. Have been to Brisbee, AZ and tombstone .saw where the shoot out at OK Corral occurred. Oh what fun!!
Hi Dottie, Seeley, and Linda, The Cuckoo's Calling is this month's group read. Check out the comments.
I'm about half way through Faithful Place
I just have a thing for stories set in or about Ireland. Been there twice, can't wait to go back.
IrelandHave you read the Benjamin Black Quirke books? One of the few things I have read and enjoyed that isn't contemporary. They are set in the 1950s.

This is her best book. I loved it. I might love Tana French because Ireland has always been the place I have most wanted to visit.

I've really enjoyed this series too. The audio versions are read by Timothy Dalton and he does a wonderful job.

Interesting. I don't do audio books since I read with the TV on and listen to the radio when in the car.
Started "Sins of the Fathers"
by James Scott Bell. I like those Legal / Trail stories. The likes of Grishem, Mark Gimenez etc' If you know on other good ones I'll be happy to try.
Just wrapped up The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner. I gave it two stars. I didn't care for the first effort in this series, but I always like to try the second before I move on. Well, I'm done now. I know Lisa Garner is held in high regard here, but I really don't get it. Oh, well.
6/41 - Just finished Virginia is for Mysteries a compilation of short stories about murder that was a pretty fun read
7/41 - Just started Eden Fell by Lily an author who I met here at Goodreads and so far it is wild and trippy.
8/41 - Next up the Abomination Assignment by Lee Hotz and adventurous thriller by another author i met here at Goodreads
And if it seems like I'm reading a lot of independent authors who I've met here at Goodreads, or on Twitter, or Facebook, it's because I am. I like talking to fellow authors about the issues and processes we go through in completing our novels. I not only want to continually support fellow authors but also I really want to check out what they're writing to get a feel for where I am in comparison. It's only human nature to want to know where you stand as an author.

The Benjamin Black series 'Quirke' has been dramatised and is starting on RTE (Irish tv) next Sunday - it'll be on BBC too I believe.
Just finished the final book in the Simon Serrailler series by Susan Hill. A Question of Identity
Loved these books, but now have to wait until October for the next one!
Tonight I finished Angels Dawn - Komali da Silva. Now I think I am going to read Confessions of a Bookseller - Robin Soma-Dudley.
Just Finished Adrenaline by Jeff Abbott
. Awesome. And just started 'Blood Work' by Michael Connelly
, my favourite author right now.
Doing a re-read of John Sandford's "Kidd" series. I've always liked these, wish there were of them. Starting the last of the series
now.
Just finished "Face of a Stranger" by Anne Perry ...enjoyed it .... Now reading "The World Beneath" by Rebecca Cantrell
Just finished City of Bones by Michael Connelly. I had a very hard time putting it down while reading. I'm hoping the new Bosch TV series will be true to this excellent story.
I needed a sure thing so picked up The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly, which I've been saving up.
I have recently gotten hooked on some of the Chris Mooney books. I'm reading the Darby McCormick books. there are four of them. "The Missing --The Secret Friend -- The Dead Room and The Soul Collectors". WOW!!Karin Slaughter says "It will keep you up past your bedtime". (Speaking of The Soul Collectors). I'll sure second that!!!! I am thoroughly enjoying them.
JackM wrote: "I'm JackM, I mainly read Police Procedurals."Welcome. Police Procedurals are what I moved to after the usual Agatha Christie mysteries ... the Dell Shannon series about the LAPD/ Lt. Mendoza was my first 'favorite' police series.
JackM:Have your tried the W.E.B. Griffin series called "The Badge of Honor"? Great books. Pick up Book I and you be hooked within the first 25 pages.
Enjoy.......
Ter'e
I am now reading The Girl Who Played with Fire
and loving it!! It is very different than the Dragon Tattoo book. It's a lot more fast paced and interesting from the beginning, whereas the Dragon Tattoo book took forever to pick up. I sense something bad is going to happen to Lisbeth so I'm anxious as I continue to journey through the book!
The best book I ever read "Replay"
A special genre. You must try it. here is a bout it:Jeff Winston was 43 and trapped in a tepid marriage and a dead-end job, waiting for that time when he could be truly happy, when he died.
And when he woke and he was 18 again, with all his memories of the next 25 years intact. He could live his life again, avoiding the mistakes, making money from his knowledge of the future, seeking happiness.
7/41 - Just finished Eden Fell by Lily a drug fueled ride through the mind of an artist that's raw, unfiltered, and often times shocking, but still a very interesting read.
8/41 - Just Started The Abomination Assignment by Lee Holz an adventure thriller by an artists i met here at Goodreads.
9/41 - Next up The Wolves of Midwinter by Anne Rice a follow up to the Wolf Gift that i'm looking forward to - if i can figure out how to get rid of all the highlighting my ex did throughout the book (?)
I am reading The Stolen Crown: The Secret Marriage that Forever Changed the Fate of England and am listening to Takedown Twenty.
