I am now reading "Hour Game" by David Baldacci. So far I am not too impressed the story line just seems to drag along.

I'm really anxious to read this one with it being a prequel.

I just finished Death in Paradise, a Henrie O mystery, which I didn't enjoy. I'm about half way through Dead Souls, an Inspector Rebus mystery, enjoying very much. I'm about to start Revelation, a Matthew Shardlake historical mystery.
I just read a new-to-me mystery author, G . M. Ford --Thicker Than Water
which I raced through in about a day and a half. Definitely read more of this series.

Who In Hell Is Wanda Fuca?.
Ford also has a stand-alone or twain and another series that's a bit darker than Leo Waterman, but with the same sense of humor and place, starring Frank Corso. It starts with Fury.

Hot Art: Chasing Thieves and Detectives Through the Secret World of Stolen Art
by Joshua Knelman. Snappy writing and a cast of interviewees from both sides of the law make art theft come alive. 4.5 stars.
Now reading
and
.
I finished Countdown yesterday. It was okay not great. I just started Beautiful Lies which is a new author for me.
I started Through the Evil Days: A Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne Mystery by Julia Spencer-Fleming
I'm currently working my way though Chelsea Cain's Gretchen Lowell/Archie Sheridan series, starting Evil at Heart tonight :-)
Just finished "the double" by George Pelecanos. Great action book.My next book will be "heat rises" book 3 of the Nikki Heat series.

it was soo good ia m looking for the other books in this series"I had to add this to my list. Did you read the three before it?
Hi,My second book in a row buy this author after his latest book Payback.
This on reading my research on this author was the book that was his first international bestseller, the top selling book in the UK in 2007, and added him to the list of top selling crime mystery writers.
This is a fantastic book, fast paced, action packed, shocks all the way through, twists and turns, with each chapter like an episode of 24 !!
Like another of my favourite British authors S J Bolton brings another ingredient to their books with using the same character in more than one book, maybe a small role in one book, then the main role in another book. Done so well by SJ Bolton.
I highly recommend this more just a notch above Payback, but I am now trying to find all his books.
I really could not put this book down !!
What a treat this year finding SJ Bolton, Allan Folsom and Simon Kernick !!
regards
Sean
I'm reading Lucky Bastard by Deborah Coonts, a Lucky O'Toole mystery. This is kind of a light cozyish mystery set in a casino in Las Vegas.
Some great suggestions in this thread. I'm a bit of a 'dipper' – in and out of several books. Recent promising reads are
I also ran a quick poll to find out what my twitter followers enjoyed most in this genre in 2013. You can read their top recommendations here – it's a good list! http://ellmanbooks.com/bestdarkfictio....
Does anyone else 'dip' or is it bad practice?!!

.Very tense and psychological!

Good Morning Ladies!Yes,we have the movie "Let the right one" and I loved it!I must get that book. Thanks for reminding me.Im almost finished my book "OUT" and its fantastic!
Morning Marian! No problem, happy to help. It wasn't in the list I posted, but should have been! I thought the children in the film were superb actors, too. I'm always amazed at their performances, like the boy in the Sixth Sense .... wow.
Morning Marian! No problem, glad to help out. I thought the children in the film (I saw the Swedish one with subtitles) were amazing. I find their acting just incredible for such youngsters. Remember the boy in Sixth Sense? Thought he was superb!
(Sorry if you get two replies by the way – my first one isn't showing up!)
I must get this book..I must get this book...I must get this book...:)))Maybe if I write this enough times I will remember..lol!We have I believe the Swedish version of the movie and your right, the kids acting was awesome.
Hi Amaya,It does look like your reading list is growing, I seem to have a collection of books and authors still to catch up on.

Sean
reading so many books right now lol i just started
and i been reading:
yes i know alot of books but i like to read different books
Finished an oldie but a goodie today: And Be a Villain
. Also read a meh short story by an author I usually like --
Recalculating. The male character in that story needed to be snapped in half like a glow stick. Just sayin.
Just started Rain Gods by James Lee Burke. I really like his Robicheaux novels so I thought I would try one of his other series. So far so good.
Weekend at home with:
Good book, intelligent...I liked much more the biographical letters of the victims.
Jennifer wrote: "Finished an oldie but a goodie today: And Be a Villain

Just finished
this morning. I read along with audiobook all the way through it. It was superb. Also, the narrator did a really nice job with the audiobook. I totally recommend it.

I am almost done with Skeleton's Key by Stacy Green. Second book in the Delta Crossroads series. The first one is Tin God. Both are filled with lots of twists and turns and will have you guessing until the end of the book.
I am currently reading Fractured
and No Second Chance
. I am LOVING both of these! These 2 authors are towards the top of my all time favorite authors list and they are not disappointing with these books! After I am done with those, I will be giving one more Patterson book a try, Honeymoon
(only because I've heard these are good) and also the next installment of the Harry Bosch series, A Darkness More Than Night
, which I've not read in a while. So much good reading to do & so little time!!! Who invented an 8 hour work day anyways?! :)
