I just finished reading and I cannot get over how perfectly flawed Gabriel is. My review of the book is pretty much mush.

(view spoiler)[His relationship with Layne was so perfect to me. I don't think it could have been better. They both have personality traits reminiscent of fire, and they fell almost like fire consumes-- testing the waters, seeing what they liked, and then engulfing everything all at once.

I need to read Fearless (I skipped it) and Breathless before I pick up Spark. I'm still not sure how I feel about Hunter... to the point I'm afraid I won't enjoy his books.

LOL, I liked Hunter but his book was a hard one for me. I REALLY liked the (view spoiler)[friendship between Hunter and Gabriel in Spark (hide spoiler)]. You can totally read that Crystal. And this, (view spoiler)[I was sad when it all fell apart (hide spoiler)].

BUT, the books are a continuation in an overall story arc so you really shouldn't skip Hunter's books. They're pretty important.

(view spoiler)[I was really enjoying the bromance between him and Gabriel, they both really needed a friend but he pulled the same trick with the gun... I wonder if Hunter's not a little insecure of his own powers. I'm hoping their relationship will eventually be on the mend. I just keep having these flashing lights that say *WARNING WARNING* when it comes to Hunter but I know he can't be all bad. I'm so loyal to the characters I like that I can't seem to let myself becoming emotionally invested in Hunter. Everytime I warm up to him he does something that makes me mad! LOL (hide spoiler)]

I just keep trying to remind myself that he had a very odd upbringing, with his father, and he's torn between what he thinks is right and what he's always been taught is right. But, I totally feel you, I want to kick his ass most of the time (hide spoiler)].

Hmmmm... I have Storm, but I haven't read it yet. I read the 0.5 one, and I liked it. Guess I should dive in, huh?
