I don't know how other people feel, but I read TID before TMI and I like it that way. Others read it the opposite way but I liked reading TID first. Now when the names are mentioned in the future it is cool to be able to reference the people from the past with the same last names and relativity. It's fun. Just my opinion.
I agree. I read the first 3 Mortal Instrument books, then read the Clockwork series. I wish I had done it the other way around.
Cassie has said that it doesn't matter what order you read them in. I know a couple people who read them in the order they've come out so CoB, CoA, CoG, CA, CoFA, CP, CoLS, and then CP2I read all the City of books until CoFA then read the TID series then read city of lost souls and was just fine, so really it's up to you.
well i startet with clockwork angel and after i finished it i read the first three books from mortal instrument and than i waited for the next books to be published. I didn´t have any problems understanding or messing up the storyline it is different enough that the order doesn´t matter. ^^ but i would start with the infernal devices again if i had to. but it is really up to you ^^
I don't think it matters if you read the Infernal before or after Mortal Instruments. I read the Mortal Instruments first. I've read them all except the one coming out next year. I just finished Clockwork Angel, it was AWESOME!! I can't wait to get the next books! :-)
Like most people are saying here, it doesn't maatter what order you read em if TID first then TMI or TMI then TID or even if you want to mixed up.P.S. I personally read them as they were being published so CoB, CoA, CoG, CA, CoFA,CP, CoLS, CP2
