Leesa Bugher | 1 comments The series was about a middle-school (probably 12 years old) who gets into various shenanigans with his friends. It's sort of a science fiction series for kids but I only remember the plot to two of the books. In one book the main character is somehow turned into a vampire by his school janitor, and so he has to avoid the sun and drink V8 juice. He also has a really annoying sister. In the other book the same boy is accidentally turned into an alien by his school science teacher, and he switches bodies with an actual alien. The alien now has the boys body, and the boy now has the aliens body, which ends up being humorous when he has to play a soccer game at the end of the book. I can't remember the name of the character, the title or the author but I do remember that the alien book had a cover with the boy sittng on his couch as the alien, watching TV with several empty can of soda and bags of chips lying around. Any help would be great!

Cheryl (cherylllr) Ok, we don't know how old you are, so... When did you read these, and do you think they were newish at the time? Soda and chips sounds like they wouldn't be older than the 1980s...

The V8 juice seems vaguely familiar to me, but I never read these kinds of stories. Did you use keywords to search discussion posts for this group? Maybe someone else has already been looking for these books.

Lou Rocama | 457 comments I second the "Help! I'm Trapped in XYZ's Body" books, though I never read those particular two. The author is Todd Strasser
