eeewww. Squick.

Poe was one of his most significant influences, at least for fiction/short stories. I don't think it's gore, more the building of ominous atmosphere.

I wouldn't call it horror so much as suspense or thriller. If you can handle Poe, you'll easily handle Lovecraft.

It's in the public domain, so Internet Archive has it as epub, kindle, etc. as well.
