The Mark of Athena
question
Did Anyone Else Not Like The Cliffhanger In The Mark Of Athena?

It was such a major cliffhanger! I can’t believe I have to wait so long to read the next book in the series! I mean, the book itself was AMAZING, but the cliffhanger is just awful!

no one liked the cliffhanger at the end of MoA...NO ONEEEE
Let's be honest. Deep down in each of you, part of you loved that cliffhanger. It's okay to admit it.
It was horribly tragic, beautifully romantic, and incredibly well-written. What's not to love?

I don't agree. Not saying you're wrong, but myself I don't think that was 'Beautifully romantic' more like, 'OH HEY LOOK ANNABETHS GONNA FALL INTO TAR

Rick Riordan: oops my pen fell into tar tar sauce. That sounds like TARTARUS. u know who else can go into TARTARUS? PERCABETH!!
PERCY JACKSON FANS: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
PERCY JACKSON FANS: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I can imaging Rick Riordan writing the ending- "Oh, the fans ship Percabeth, huh... I need to make them alone together somehow... Hmmm... OH I KNOW I'LL THROW DEM INTA TARTARUS!"
Lets be honest here. I think the better question to ask would be "Did anyone else actually LIKE the cliffhanger at the end of Mark of Athena?"
OH MY GOSH!!!!!! THIS CLIFFHANGER! :O D: >.< *abuses pillow*
Alright, now that I'm done with that, let me just say, wow! Okay, I think its clear that Riordan overdid himself with an amazing cliffhanger. I both love and hate cliffhangers. Cliffhangers, you kinda have to admire them. They seriously get you hooked on a book, but then again, your so freaking angry when you want the next book but you don't have it! So I consider "bad" to be suspenseful.

UGH! I feel the same way. It was absotutly adorable with Percy<3 and Annabeth<3 but the fact that they are now in Tartarus doing who knows what is so freakin annoying cause I need to know these things! And I'm also excited out of my mind for House of Hades next fall!!!!!!!
I don't think anyone really likes a cliffhanger. All I can say is that I am SO excited for the next book, and it can't come fast enough!
So as cliff hangers go I thought it was great.
A few reasons why are immediately I was like oh no I have to know what happens next, which is the point of a good cliffhanger. But all and all I felt good about it because Percy and Annabeth are together!!!!! They spent 2 books apart and could have been torn apart again but Uncle Rick gave us a little solace in the fact that whatever obstacles they have to face they will face them together in the underworld.
I would have hated them spending another book completely apart and lets face it any other ending would have been too tied up so this is a great ending for the middle book of the series.

That is, hands down, THE BEST gif. Ever.
And I agree with you guys. I hate the cliff-hanger, too. It makes each passing days unbearable. :/

I did not like the cliff hanger at the end of MoA!!!! I don't like to be left hanging!
Every time I think about this series I have a spaz attack! I'm just hoping he actually lets us know what is going on with Percy and Annabeth in the house of hades and not make us wait until the next book.
I hated that it ended in a cliff-hanger. :( I need to know what happens to Percy and Annabeth!!!! But...

Name one person who actually LIKED the ending. Rick took the term "Cliffhanger" WAY too seriously! So I'll have to wait *Sighs*
