❄️ Propertea Of Frostea ❄️ Bitter SnoBerry ❄ (berrynumey) | 52 comments Read that book long ago, and there were a couple of short stories in it, all fantasy, magic. There was one particular story that still is in my mind - 'The Conjurer's Game' and in that, there is this conjurer who has a board game that is something like chess. I'm not getting what it was.
Also, I've forgotten the book's name :/
Any help on what the book could be?

The Glass Tower: Three Doorways into The Otherworld by Catherine Fisher? It contains three stories one of which is "The Conjuror's Game". One review on Amazon mentions "he sees a board for a game not unlike chess with black ravens on one side and golden men and women on the other".

So it's solved... checked out the book :)
This thread can be moved to Solved, please.

Glad we could help. By the way, you might also be interested in one of Catherine Fisher's more recent books The Oracle Betrayed. It's gotten some good reviews of Goodreads.

I'm going to move this thread to Children's/YA - Solved, since Catherine Fisher is a writer for young people and the reviews I've found for this book mention 8-12 year olds as its audience.
