LOL....Nina Bang's Gods of the Night series. I've read only the first one, but that is, more or less, is the premise. I like the book. : )

I accepted it on face value and I'm not sure why. By the way its a Sci-fi novel (Alien Taste), and mind you I like it very much because it's waaaaaaaay out there. :)
