http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/97... should be deleted: it's a clipped ISBN of the default version, so deleting it will merge them, and, as an unsuper, I can't separate out a default version to be merged.

You can, actually, and the same way I would: with the separate tool. But it's not necessary when the edition to be merged into is the default.

Separated out.
Thought it was a reprint with a slightly different cover, but looking closer the only difference is that the better photo has been taking in lower light. #2 is the earlier edition, 1997 was a reprint with same ISBN (according to Worldcat).
This is a set of Kindle duplicates, and I've separated out the paperback already. I'd be glad to combine it back if you'd like, when you're done merging this.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/14...
There's an issue with it being a re-published book with a pseudonym name change, which I'll also fix when they're merged. :)

The author is categorical that it was never published as an ebook with this cover. This pink/white cover was ONLY on the paperback edition. As there has been so much back and forth on the change log I want to get it OK-ed before doing anything! It seems that the paperback cover was added in error at some point, and since then there's been a loop of "but that's the wrong cover" / "ACE"...

People have read and reviewed and will want to keep it as part of their reading catalogue.

Goodreads does not remove un-published or out of print books from the database. Think of it as a library, not a bookseller. Users have already read and reviewed your book and should be able to keep record of that even is the book is no longer available.
