I finished Sins of the Night and Unleash the Night. I'm starting Dark Side of the Moon. All by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I'm liking the books a lot so far but thought the ending for Unleash the Night was really, really hokey.

I started Lament The Faerie Queen's Deception. I have no idea whether or not it's a good book.

Hey, what did you think of Wicked Lovely, I liked it , but I know that there are some people who don't.
I just finished
which was good but not quite as good as the books before...now I am reading
and
I see lots of people posting about Graceling, I really loved that book and I have Fire sitting here looking at me but I have heard that Fire is not as good as Graceling...we shall see. And then I have
to read for a December challenge. And on and on LOL

I liked FADE OUT and thought SHADOWLAND was a total waste of time. Hope you like it. It just goes absolutely nowhere.

See I am not digging it as much as I did the first two but I thought it was because I stopped Shiver to wait on a friend to catch up with me so we could read it together and I am wanting to get back into Shiver...but that just may not be the reason...

I'm about 1/2 way through and I have mixed feelings...maybe i haven't hit the OMG part yet... :s
I just started Midnight by Dean Koontz

I haven't read that one in a while so I don't really remember when it gets exciting, I just remember liking it, although it is a little different and some people don't like it.

I am almost done with Shiver!!! WOW now I want a Sam for my very own!

I've finally started The Host. I think I'm on chapter 9 or 10 and I'm not sure what to think of it yet. I'm having a hard time deciding who to hope for - The Wanderer who so far seems to be the main character or Melanie. I'm trying to keep my mind open to the whole parasite thing but... it's a little hard to sympathize with the 'Souls'.

I have that book on my shelf but still haven't read it, I don't know why, Ijust skip over it every time I go to get a book to read :S
When you get further let us know what you think of it.

I have read it and I think it is worth reading and I may even read it again. It is a very strange book but it makes you think about things and is interesting if you can stick through it to the end. If either of you finish it I would love to chat about what you thought of it.

I LOVE the Sookie books! Book 4, DEAD TO THE WORLD, is still my favorite of the series.

I loved this book. I am not a big fan of Stephenie Meyer, but I love this book. It does take a little bit to get started, but it has a great story once it gets going. Everyone I have talked into reading liked it a lot. I would highly recommend it.

I liked the Host...even though there is not alot that really happens as far as action. The bulk of the book deals with the internal struggle between the host body and the wanderer...the seconday issue is Wanderer's interaction with the people who hate her and don't want to give her a chance. I also liked it because I liked both characters and would have been unhappy if either had disappeared.

I'll finish it but I'm not really connecting with the characters. I won't pick up the next in the series.
Amanda I LOVED Hunger Games & the sequel Catching Fire! I hope you like them.
Sandy - that's a series & author I've never heard of before. Why do you think you're not connecting with the characters? Is it the characters themselves or the writting style??

It's the characters themselves. They are sort of stock characterizations - the guy with the bad boy image who isn't, the heroine who doesn't really have faith in her abilities, etc. There just isn't anything about them that makes me care about what happens to them.

Lily

Ack Lily - computer problems are no fun but maybe it will give you the extra time to get through those 25 books, YIKES!

I finished Divine Misdemeanors on Saturday and really liked it, maybe because I expected it to be so awful. I did the "Phrases I never want to hear again" drinking game and had 13 shots of Bailey's. Was pretty toasted by the end of the day. My family thinks I'm weird. :)

First Lord's Fury came out 11/24/09, so you're not far behind. It's very, very good, so you'll want to get it. 25 library books? Tell me that some are your kids!

I'm back to reading Lament The Faerie Queen's Deception and Unbound.

I liked pride prejudice and zombies, It was very close to the actual story with a little added zombie fighting to keep you entertained.
I finished [image error] and am just starting

I'm only a few chapters in so far, but it's pretty entertaining. I was a bit iffy on picking it up as Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book, but so far it is amusing. Definitely enjoying J.R. Ward's series as well.
