Donitello So here my thread about http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/... has sat on its ASS for several HOURS!!! And it was really addressed primarily to Alfonso and the other THC nerds!!!! And they've got NOTHING to say about it???!!!

And Serv gives ME the "..."???!!!!

WTF??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reads with Scotch So like is that "your" review... or is it a story I should be interested in? I'm not sure what you mean.

How does Gretchen come into it?

It doesn't appear that Alfonso has been online, Doni. Have patience, Grasshopper.

Is what "my review or a story you should be interested in"? Dammit, why can I not make myself clear in this forum lately?

smetchie | 5729 comments Don't you just love it when Bunny swoops in and translates everything? I do.
(though she apparently won't do it when you ask her to. HRMPH!)

smetchie | 5729 comments :) can't remember anymore but I did try to summon you for something.

Rusty (rustyshackleford) | 2198 comments You probably forgot the piece of human flesh for that spell, Gretchen. Don't worry, lots of people forget about the piece of human flesh.

message 9: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) | 2198 comments That's right. Demons have personal lives, too.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Ew! The piece of human flesh thing just reminded me of the book "In the Miso Soup." Gross.

message 11: by Donitello (new)

Donitello Oh. You all knew about the Pride and Prejudice book.

Never mind, then.

message 12: by Donitello (new)

Donitello And thank you, Bunny.

I was doing an impression of Fonze. And even though I usually stink at impressions, I think I adhered DELIGHTFULLY to his style in this thread.

Oh look--my audience is giving me a standing ovation!

message 14: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Doni I think part of the problem here is that this posts were out of synch with the main message posting rhythm.

I think the impression holds superbly, but then it's Fonze that should judge.

And look at the bright side, at least this thread did not morph into farts, BJs, lesbian sex, bashing somebodys face with a hammer or any other profanity. Should be proud!

message 15: by Donitello (new)

Donitello Yes, they were out of sync. Except, of course, in my head. For reasons noted earlier.

You know, the nice thing about having to depend on yourself for appreciation of your own jokes is that you are forced to stay on very, very good terms with yourself. I would recommend a little more obliqueness to everyone here. Except Bunny -- her clarity is too finely-honed to be messed around with. The rest of you, jump on in. You'll see.

message 16: by Kasia (new)

Kasia Oh, praising myself is the best, I do that compulsively with the cooking. "Ummm... the dumplings are delicious, don't you think?" Or "Ah, I so like the cake, yummyness."

People just take too much for granted. Arrogant bastards! So I just go on and get my own positive feedback. Screw them.

message 17: by Donitello (new)

Donitello Exactly, screw them. I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

(I hadn't planned on taking my cherished life strategy into the area of sociopathology, but what the hey, I'm flexible.)

Reads with Scotch Yes yes were all very popular in our own heads... that's what the Thorazine and straps are for.
