Adrienne (adriennesreads) | 234 comments I'm kind of confused about the creatures in Deity (Covenant, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout ... they're called "daimons" and they prey on the descendants of Greek gods & goddesses but they're not ACTUALLY demons from Hell... so do they belong to the angels/demons category or to the "others" category?

That's just me, but for this book I'd go with demigods, because of the main characters

Welcome to the challenge, Marla! :)

There isn't enough purple for that book to count as 60% and there isn't any one color that the cover really focuses on so this book wouldn't count. Sorry!

You can go with demons if you want, but you could also go with "other" :)

message 62: by Adrienne (new)

message 63: by Jalyn (new)

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments Mishma wrote: "I have a doubt. Can we use a cover/creature/genre more than once?"

You can, but each different entry that you make gives you a higher chance of guessing the correct cover/creature/genre. I'm going to use random.org to pick a random cover, creature and genre in the end and whoever has the correct combo will win an ebook so if you use the same entry, you will only have one chance to win with those 2 books. Can you change it in any way? Maybe pick a different genre that will also work for the book (like YA instead of Contemporary)?

All you need to do is go to the page with your review on it (not the page for the book) and copy the html code at the top of the page. Then just paste that right after you type in Review:

Did that clear it up?

Also, I wanted to make sure that you know that a buddy read that isn't done it our group won't count for our challenges. We ask if it was buddy read because we use that to award extra points or we add some sort of extra value in challenges for buddy reads done in our group :)

We have a list of challenge rules here if you haven't had a chance to check them out yet. :)

That does clear up how to post a review thanks. Thanks for reminding me about the buddy reading rules. I will remove my book from the challenge site. Thanks.

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments You can leave the book, just put no next to "Buddy". We don't require anyone to do a buddy read to enter a challenge, we just give extra points for buddying up :)

Yes to everything except Absent. Both the white and the blue are the main focus of that one so it doesn't count, but the rest are fine :)

Love in Darkness is fine for blue, but The Wanderers isn't 60% blue or the main focus of the cover so it doesn't count. Killing Jenna Crane can be either, that one is up to you :)

This is going to sound weird, but I'd actually say that this is a green book. It's pretty much the only color on the cover besides the really light and really dark colors. The green is what catches my eye, so I'll say no to white or blue, but yes to green :)

message 85: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I have to ask whether or not Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins counts for anything. It's one of the books I'm reading now.

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments Kaitlin wrote: "I have to ask whether or not Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins counts for anything. It's one of the books I'm reading now."

Sorry, but I'll have to say no because there is more than one color (besides black and white). If there was only blue or green then it would count, but since there are two different eye catching colors it doesn't work.

message 87: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) That's what I thought.

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments Jalyn, this color stuff is mind boggling to me. So glad you are doing this one...lol :)

message 89: by Jalyn (new)

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments Lol XD

It's just the normal 60% plus any cover that has one "eye catching color." The second part is basically any cover that's black(ish) and/or white(ish) with only one other color that stands out :)
