Looking for Authors to Interview
Hello from Ellen & Valery, 2 career clinicians who worked in NYC hospitals during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. In our debut book, Nurses on the Inside; stories of the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in NYC, we wrote about how the advent of HIV infection permanently altered a vulnerable minority and the boundaries of global health care. This book is our personal story of being on the “INSIDE” of this epidemic, before anyone knew what we were dealing with. Remember NO CELL PHONES, NO SOCIAL MEDIA, NO ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS, NO INTER HOSPITAL COMMUNICATION. Our book has been reviewed as “an accessible, universal, heartbreaking, and gut-wrenching AIDS chronicle.” Our proceeds from this book go to establishing scholarships for new nurses. AND the world needs new nurses now!Our second book, Beyond the Mask, the First Wave, due out shortly, is based on the countless interviews we did with nurses and other health care workers all over the country. It will be considered fiction as most health care workers were in fear for their jobs if they came forward. The first wave saw health care workers making ethical decisions right in the emergency departments, no time to think, discuss or plan. Intubate or not. Period.
When PPE was in short supply, no vaccination available, death inevitable.

These go out as free exposure to our newsletters and social media sites. Just something we do to help authors sell books. We also have them go out at random back out into social media over and over.
