Chris Westergaard (chriswestergaard) | 2 comments I bought the executive version of the Amazon Basics stylus, but I gave up after trying it with a few apps. The tip seems to be too pliant, and not precise enough to write with small details.
I just keep a bottle of spray cleaner and cloth readily available for both my iPads and use them liberally, especially after one of my daughters has used one of my devices.

Chris Westergaard (chriswestergaard) | 2 comments Len, the two apps I still use the stylus for the most on my iPads are Penultimate and Paper. I tried a couple other writing apps, but since I'm an Evernote Premium member, I love the integration that Penultimate provides. My girls use the stylus with a couple other drawing (coloring) apps as well, but those don't require a very find hand when using a drawing tool.

John Aga | 32 comments I have to agree with Chris. After awhile I did find the Amazon Basic stylus to be not precise enough. Ironically the purchase of a cheap packet of 5 styli ($1.75) with little plastic clips like you might find on a pen were much more precise. In addition they are shorter than the Amazon Basic stylus. I find myself gripping them where the plastic clip is located. I find this makes for a more comfortable and stable grip. http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Smart... Average price per stylus 35 cents. :-)

Tom Semple (tom_semple) | 98 comments It is pricey, but my wife (and I) like the Wacom Bamboo stylus. Has a nice rubberized grip and replaceable tips (firm or soft). You can get one that has a pen built into the other end also.

Dpeach | 2 comments I have not tried this one yet, and for the price I may not, but I have seen some amazing reviews for the Jot Pro stylus: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009...

It is pushing $30. Yikes! It has a small clear disc that provides the capacitive touch to the screen. But the tip looks more like a pen. So you can be precise with the pen tip while giving enough capacitance to the screen to make it work.

When I get my tablet this summer I am going to see about saving my lunch money to buy one of these.

Eolake (eolake-stob) | 30 comments I have a bunch of styli, partially because I'm a (frustrated) artist. But I rarely use them.

Just came across this positive review:

http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/review...

I like those with a plastic circle with a dot (the Dagi for example), so you can see just where you're touching.

The Gold Goal is pressure sensitivity. There are a couple now for iPad, but they don't work very well yet. I have a Jot Touch, which is way more than $30.

It's tough to include a link when posting with the Goodreads app on my Kindle Fire! Sorry about that.

Mayra Cruz Ortega (mayraicruzortega) | 9 comments I almost always use a stylus and have found the micro knit kind to be better than all the rubber tipped ones. My rubber tipped ones eventually get squeaky as the rubber wears.

Interesting. Mayra, can you point me toward a stylus that uses micro knit?

Me too! I just ordered a pair; hope they arrive before we head out on the road to Boston. Thanks, Mayra.
