Me | 2 comments I've been looking for another good read and I thought the Maze Runner looked kind of interesting but I'm just not sure! Anyone have any thoughts?

message 2: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Carlson | 3 comments I read it. It is the first in a series. I enjoyed it, found it interesting and different.

Maria | 30 comments This is a frustrating fun read, lol, if that makes sense? It'll keep you on your toes and you'll definitely wanna gobble up all the books in the series if you do decide to read this one! Do I regret losing about a week on these books..? (There's a total of 4) NOPE!!

Me | 2 comments Lol! Thanks guys! I think i'll give it a try! And it makes perfect sense!

It's decent. I didn't like the sequel as much but enjoyed the third book :)

Maria | 30 comments How about the Prequel? Did the series redeem itself with that one?

message 7: by David (new)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 115 comments I didn't read it but I've been thinking about it :) Anyone else read it? I've heard it's good and action packed but doesn't really answer any questions lol!

message 8: by Maria (new)

Maria | 30 comments Everything you heard is true!! Lol, but I thought it came the CLOSEST to giving us some tiny answers, worth the read overall I think.

Lol! Ok cool, thanks for letting me know, maybe I'll read it after all!

Jed (specklebang) | 38 comments The trilogy was OK. I bought the books and the audio version.

The prequel was one of the worst books ever. Go figure.

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 115 comments Hmm ok, I'm still trying to decide whether to read it!

message 12: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (mattyfaye) | 1 comments Didn't really care for the prequel, however the 1st and 3rd are among some of my favorite reads.

message 13: by Traylove (new)

Traylove | 3 comments I have about 90 pages left...I like it. Many parts made me want to read further quickly......plan to read next book in series.

message 14: by Tara (new)

Tara (tjwill) | 4 comments I thought it was slow for most of the book and took me a while to really get into it, but I still was interested to get some answers to why they were there and if they would get out. I've only read the first one but will probably read the next one at some point because it raises more questions at the very end.

That's funny, I was sort of the same :)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 115 comments Ashley, I skipped the prequel as well since I heard it didn't answer very many questions :) But I enjoyed the rest of the series!

I really enjoyed the prequel as it is rather different to the original 3. I think you are missing out if you don't read it and even though it hardly answered any of my questions, it kept me reading and I enjoyed the story overall.
There is also 'the maze runner files' which is supposed to be an ebook that should explain further if you're interested, however I cannot seem to find it on amazon for my kindle so I don't know what the problem is there.

I really enjoyed the prequel as it is rather differ..."

Ok cool, thanks for the rec! Might have to give it a shot :)

Jed (specklebang) | 38 comments I found the prequel to be written for a much younger audience than the main series. And yeah, I'm an old guy who likes (some) YA if it's mature enough. The trilogy itself was up there with Hunger Games, Uglies and Everlost. But the prequel....no.
