For the first post, I copied and pasted the duties for Team Captains, then added notes from our discussion in the previous thread. If anything needs to be changed, please comment.
Details about the duties and other issues to be dealt with by the Team Captains can be done in this thread.
I am still working on a second spreadsheet to keep track of issues and when they have been resolved.
Okay, just discovered I can either add your individual emails so only you two can edit it, or I can change it so anyone with the link can edit it. Then any team member who views it could potentially change it by mistake, though, and it would be more difficult to figure out what went wrong.

Tea- I added your email address and it lists you as an editor when I click on the Share button. I think it sent you an email and there are instructions there on how to confirm and access it as well. There are two of them, so you may get two emails.General Info on using spreadsheet
Nothing needs to be entered on the Team Summary sheet. All the information we change on the Team Data sheet will automatically update the Team Summary sheet. I have at least temporarily put the Team Member names on the spreadsheet. Since they haven't actually joined the challenge yet, I have not added the links.
There is a short formula to follow for making the names link to their profile page in green at the bottom of the page, but if you can't figure it out, I can do it later and you can leave it as is for now and just add the other information to the columns as they are signed in.

I thought you'd be happy. If I was to assign myself a Team, it would be "Hobbit's Blue." Love that door and that color.
I also see on the list that Karen has captain next to her name, but she wasn't on the list to be let in early for discussion?

Karen is studying for exams, so she probably wouldn't be able to do much. I guess she signed in before all that started. I'll add her to the spreadsheet.
Short tutorial on linking name to profile page:This is what needs to be typed into the cell exactly
=hyperlink("web address of member profile page";"name of member")
Using my profile:
=hyperlink("http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/66...")
I went to the member's profile page and copied the web address, then pasted it into the formula. Don't forget the quotation marks or it doesn't work right. You can select the cell with a linked name then look at the top of the page where it shows what is actually typed in the cell to see an example. I can't get my direct example to show up correctly in this post. It always cuts it off after most of the link to profile page.

5 hr would be good. It is almost 2am here and I should probably get some sleep before my brain gets too fried. I will probably be up again by then anyway and more alert. I tend to wake up between 6 and 7 no matter what time I go to bed.Okay, off to bed I go. Okay, I am back. My 4 hr nap/sleep has refreshed my brain. I think the updating problem on the Team Summary Page has to do with the hyperlink. So once the link is added on the Team Data sheet, just copy and paste that to the Team Summary sheet. Otherwise, everything else should update automatically.
I also just added hyperlinks to the main challenge page for each team so that we can update the team totals directly from our spreadsheet without needing to find them through the thread on Goodreads.

Melissa and md have private profiles so one of us should friend them. Since Jojiwoji said she'll be MIA, we can split team between two of us, or give her those with low book goals.
My body clock wakes me up. I will be tired today and probably will go to bed early tonight though. This is the second night in a row I was up that late, and usually that does not happen. Since you already know how to add images, maybe you could make a welcome post in the first one and I will use one of mine to add the link to the spreadsheet.

Feel free to look at the spreadsheets and copy and paste ideas you like. Clicking on the link goes to the main page where you can see the team's members and total goal and where each member joins to add their shelf to the challenge. I know there may be a little discrepancy in when these numbers get updated, but it just like using the link in the Check In Thread to get to your team's main page.

And the links to the shelves is pretty useful, since besides the number we have to check if the book is valid (page numbers, pictures &comic books, etc)
Tea - are there specific members you would like to check? I can friend Melissa and md-Mabel. They are the only other two not on our original Team B.(besides Karen)

Going to take a short break and start to get ready for work. I start work in 2.5 hrs at 10 until 5. During that time, I can check in often(every hr or so) but it won't be constant like it is now at home. I hope the mod gets back soon and can open our thread so our team members can join us. People seem to be getting impatient.For now, back in about 20-30 min.

I love the welcome image. Where do you find your images? Are there rules about whether the pictures you find can be copied or not?
I just googled welcome image and then went through pages of them :) I was trying to find something in our color (I'll never remember the word!) but only that resembled were very sparkly :D exampleMost pictures can be saved. Right click on it - view image - save as...
To post them here, there is difference. If image is animated (moving) you need to upload it first to some site (imageshack, phobucket,..) and take link from there. If it's just image, you can copy link here (for now). Those pics that are copyrighted have something on them so you don't have clear pic.

Thanks about the turtle, I went google and searched for turtle book and found several I liked. I decided it was time to learn how to add the avatar to my profile as well as how to insert images onto posts. The avatar was easy, I haven't had time yet to play around with images.I added the link to Ezi's profile and shortened her name since she seems to change the last part of it. I don't know if it will affect the link if she changes it again during the challenge.

Jojiwoji - you should now be set up to edit the spreadsheets as well. You might want to check and make sure when you get a chance, if not I will try to add you again. I did the same thing for Tea and it worked for her.
