And can you add md's book to spreadsheet (RaT) - one is missing and I can't see her shelfs

Yes, Melissa is only one. Dee & Sanz are missing cover and Gemma theme.
After this I'm gonna play with weekly update - I need to click all the teams :)

I was waiting with my big books for after RaT. I'm sooo going to be behind in challenge when I start! I should find some quick reads first to build up numbers :D

Final results posted on team thread and Hobbit Games thread.

I didn't plan anything. To be honest, I wasn't even thinking about it.
If you have something, be my guest :D

June Hobbit Games Challenge
How many points can you achieve in June?
10 pts each - books 160-250 pgs
1 pt each - books 251-500 pgs
10 pts each - books 501 and over
With the smaller and larger books getting more points, it may help even out slower readers with faster readers. I was looking and most of the books the faster readers read fall within 250-500 pages. So, even if I can read 1 book a day with all between 250-500 pgs that is 30 pts, a slower reader could read 3 smaller books or 3 longer books and still keep up with points.
I seem to have a more difficult time finding short books I want to read, but this could also inspire that and bring our total books read up.

That's pretty good idea. You could put 500+ at 5 pts, so we encourage them (us) to read shorter books and get our book numbers up. I'm already failing since my next few (or all of them) are 1pts ☺
I did had that idea about strange 'holidays'. It was only idea at that point and then RaT came and it stayed in idea part. ☺
If you want to keep them busy for rest of this month, we can do blue covers thing or spelling thing.

I think maybe we can use blue book covers for the rest of the month to relax after the RaT. Some people may have had more than one option to read already. We can make it so that the version they read doesn't have to have a blue cover as long as another version does. I have most of my books for the rest of May planned but I am sure there are at least a couple more blue covers in there.

I ..."
Wow! I just went through my this year read shelf and I have only 13 10pts books! From 78 of them (OK few more are no-pagers and few are to short for here, but still!)

I am also going to post about finding blue covers for the rest of the month.

So, no PMs this time? :D
I'll change it in our, too.
LK, if it messes our numbers too much, I can return to my original goal (I only increased it when Karen changed hers)
❀Tea❀, no it doesn't mess with my goal. We have other Teams that are at or near 1400 - AT, MM, WBY. Some people have NOT changed their goal, but they are at 45%. **shrugs**
We do the best we can to even things out. But Real Life happen. Some people loose their jobs, and have more free time on their hands than expected. It is the BIG changes that cause concern.
You are right on target, percent-wise. Maybe 1% over. However, if you want to lower your goal a bit, or back to what it was, that is fine with me, too. Totally up to you. ☺

I'm fine :D I just thought, in case you are bored, to give you something to do :D

:) HI TEA : 60 books for the rest of this year ; plus 40 ti'll april.2014

Last time you've changed your goal to 20 I had no idea you had little chat with TC, so I announced it as big news, and everyone was like: Oh, yeah, we know. :D This time I was going for subtlety :D
I just hope you didn't feel pressured to increase it that much.
PS. Reading your post, you have plan to read 100 books till April 2014? If I got that right, than your goal should be 100 not 60.
Again, no pressure! :D Read at your own speed/will.
Just please next time announce in one of Hobbits' threads your change so there are no surprises :D

I feel like I'm really not doing my job properly... You can be honest with me. Turtlecollector is doing weekly clicks to refresh the pages for the mods, Tea is doing the weekly update and I'm really not doing much at all. The past few member updates somebody has stepped in and updated for me before I got a chance.
If this is the case then I apologise, will try my best to be a lot more active in the future. This is my frist time and I'm still quite uncertain when it comes to taking initiative.
If you want I can be in charge of updates for this challenge?

This is my fifth try in replying (this time I'll copy this before pressing post :D)
Jojiwoji, I'm sorry you feel like you're not doing your share. It's not true. I remember you said at the beginning, you're still in school and you won't be able to do much so we thought to give you more space.
TC's weekly clicks are only because she's in the right time zone. I was doing weekly updates to free you some time. I'm willing to share that with you. Just let me know so we can work some kind of schedule so we are not doing it both at the same time (to many clicks going to waste :D)
As for spreadsheet updater, that's probably me. (*blushes*) I know we split the team, but honestly I thought it's going to be much more work. We have 2-3 books at most (if TC is in reading mood) to update daily and I feel silly to update spreadsheet with one book if I saw there are 2 more. (I'll stop, or at least try to). You can always update my and TC's books if you see a change. And you can always recheck our updates :D
As for me, you're welcome to work this challenge. I'll try to stay good Hobbit and do only reports for you :D
PS I tried to send you PM. I have no idea if it got through 'Alice' (GR overcapacity) or if you'll get few of them because of her.

Sorry, Jojiwoji, that might have been me sometimes too trying to help you out since you said you were studying. Like Tea says, it doesn't take me long to check for updates as I thought so sometimes I check on everyone. I will be good and hold off more on that, although with three people checking, the mods have not found anything to PM us for on their spot checks.
If you don't mind, for the next week I am going to be working on a spreadsheet for the June/July challenge to see if I can figure out a good way to keep track of what is read for each category. (I am such a spreadsheet geek, I love them) Do you think a separate one with tabs for each section would be easier than adding it to the one we already have? Or, do you not mind scrolling through a lot of data on one tab of a spreadsheet? Then Jojiwoji can be in charge of updates if she wants.
It will work well with our June challenge. Our challenge is a little less intimidating for slower readers, so they could be participating in that and we can just take their books and add them to the big challenge unaware. *giggles*
I am not sure about the Buddy Reads section. I have never participated in one of those, but am willing to join one. I did look at the BOM for June and would be willing to read 2 of them. If no one else does this, we can replace this section with a different one.
I also now get to go spying again and find other books to read from other teams' lists. Just what my TBR list needs, more books:)

Who's going to do update for our June challenge? Or it's going to be again, who comes first? :D
I had a thought... As nuts as we are, we could make a list of other teams' books so we can easily check them for 'enemy' reading. Any volunteers? :D Or we could split teams checking :D

I suggest we can assign the books to categories, but not to post them until close to the end of the challenge so we can move books around if we need to. We can't change it after we post a completed category.

I am working on the spreadsheet - the design looks good, one suggestion I would have would be to make more rows on each 'mini-sheet' so that if a book fits into more then one category, we can add it to all and finalise closer to the end
I was thinking of a spreadsheet of rival teams books, just for reference until we complete that category.

First
Jojiwoji, which exactly do you want to help do updates for? One or more than one of these:
1. The Hobbit Game for June(one I posted just for our team)
2. The June/July Inter-team Challenges(posted by the mods)
3. Weekly updates
4. Clicking on team links(I think this one is easiest if I do it since I am in the same time zone so we don't have to figure out time conversions and it only takes a few minutes)
Second
I have added three new tabs to the current team spreadsheet.
1. June Hobbit Game - for recording how many books we read according to how many pages they have; will add up points for us when we enter how many books read
2. 7% Solution - for assigning books read to each category of Mods challenge; color-coded according to category; order of columns may need rearranged or added to according to what info Mods want on each book
3. June Book List - for recording books read in June, how many pages and which category they may belong to; can be used to determine how to fill out June Hobbit Game tab and 7% Solution tab
Is this what you are looking at, or are you working on your own spreadsheet?
Third
I am not sure what you mean by adding more rows to 'mini-sheet'. Do you mean each colored section for the category?
This is what I was thinking:
We would just record the books and list all the categories they would fit into on the June Book List tab. Then around the end of June, we could start assigning books to the categories by looking at each column to see if there are 7 books we can use in it.
Once a book was assigned, we could highlight it with the color of the category, so that if we needed to move it again, we would know which category it is in but still have a record of what other categories it might fit in. Then we could delete it from that category and highlight the new category for it. We would not put it on the 7% Solution tab until assigned so we only have to sort through one list of books to make sure a book was not in two different categories.
Did you have a way you think works better? You should be able to add tabs and edit the spreadsheet so you could make one or make changes to mine and we could try it to see how it works.
Fourth
The idea of a spreadsheet of rival team books is good, but how do you determine which books to put on it? All of them would make a really long list to look through. We could just look and find the ones we think are likely to be read by one of our team members, or we could split teams up among us to look for specific books on their member shelves after we read a book.
I have looked through the first few teams and found books on their shelves I am already planning to read or would like to read. There are 3 I already have waiting for me on my shelf to read and 5 more I hope to(most likely will) get sometime during the challenge from the library.

By 'mini sheet,' I meant the sheets you had for each separate category. I do think that your way makes more sense though.
I'm quite sure you can search the spreadsheet using the 'find and replace' tool, under edit. Simply don't enter anything in for replace.
I tries this out with the books you used in the example, and it does work. This would be a much easier way to organise the category, rather then going through and making a list of books our members 'might' read, or hunting through shelves each time somebody finishes a book.
