IKR they set you up for a great story then BOOM!!! you have to wait a year or more to see what will happen
That's like the end of Hades. The cliffhanger was evil. I guess strategically thinking it is a great idea, to get peope to keep reading. But they are EVIL!
I really wish they wouldn't though... :)
that would be... I can't even fathom that...
well, think about it. If there were no cliffhangers you wouldn't be that excited to read the next one....
Oh you would be, a chiffhanger is really when a author isn't sure of how their writing would stand up without it - think about how you think, what sticks to you at the end is the end, not if the story was a good one but if the conclusion was satisfying. If there is a cliffhanger - it isn't really a conclusion. I have read books in a series of 10+ (quite a lot of them) some use a cliffhanger, some do not, some simply lead on "into the sunrise " meaning the hint of another adventure that leads to another book.
I love cliffhangers. Pandemonium... WHY? (Still waiting for Requiem) There won't be one for three, because it's the last book *sobs*
it would definitely stink if the last one was a cliffhanger ._.
If Allegiant ends without completion someone hold my earrings there will be blood
i know right? but I'm afraid it will end with death of a main character...
If she sets it up right it might work, but I think she knows that there's a lot riding on this book now!

Insurgent cliffhanger: WHYYYYY??????
Divergent #3: I hope there's not one
It seems like in every book in the YA genre there is a cliffhanger.
