Really Good YA Vampire Books?

So I've been on a vampire kick lately, and I need suggestions (besides Twilight, obviously!) All things vampires, READY... GO!

Vampire Academy
Bloodlines (This is more like an Alchemists book, but there are vampires in it)

These are both my Richelle Mead. You HAVE to check these out. A vampire must-read!

I agree with the Vampire Academy books. I'm just now starting book 3 and I think they are really good.

I really enjoyed Sunshine by Robin McKinley but I'm not sure if it has enough YA feel for your purposes

I would love it if you read my novel Fire Light. It is my first novel and so far the reviews are pretty good but few.

The Darkangel Series by Meredith Pierce. It has wonderfully lyrical prose, a magical and sci-fi setting, and plenty of adventure.

The Drake Chronicles. It made me Squeal at moments because is was so cute, Cry because it was so funny, and make my jaw drop to the floor because the Drake Family were just so badass. Note that there is NO characters like Bella from Twilight. So if you like that type of character-sorry no bella here. And if you Hate Bella's character- WHOOP WHOOP This is a great series for you! The first book of the series is called Hearts at Stake by Alyxandra Harvey
P.S- I know the book cover is kind of...eccentric, just pull a Y.O.L.O (I can't believe I just said that...-_-) and go for it! :) My Love Lies Bleeding (Drake Chronicles, #1) by Alyxandra Harvey

If your looking for a little more adult books I recommend Night Huntress. And if you don't mind vampire hunters Mercy Thompson Series. The best way in my opinion though to find a new series that you like is to to and pick up a vampire anthology and follow up on any stories or authors you like. That's how I end up with mine a lot of the time.

The Keeper: Awakening by O.L.Ramos.

Marked The House of Night series was really good. They have 10 books so far with 2 more to go.

Vampire Academy and its spinoff Bloodlines.

Some of these might not be strictly YA, and most of these I haven't read, but if you're alright with mature content then I recommend you try the Elemental Mysteries series. It's better than quite a few vampire series' out there, especially when compared to the bubblegum YA ones! Someone suggested the My Blood Approves series, and while it's not much better than Twilight (no offence if you liked it), it's alright. While the fourth book seemed pretty final to me, apparently there's one last instalment coming up. Someone else also wrote about TMI and TID, which are total guilty pleasure series' for me. I love them, but they don't deal very much with vampires.

The Vampire Diaries is one you've probably heard about before, seeing as the TV show has quite the following. I'm curious as to what the books are like, so if you do read it, it'd be great if you could share your experience! The love triangle seems a bit tedious in my opinion, but then again I'm not part of the fandom.

Several of my followed reviewers enjoyed: The Night Prince series. They also liked The Others series. This and this seem to get relatively high ratings.

Bloodlines seems promising (it's a Vampire Academy spin-off), as does The Morganville Vampires and Blood Moon. As always, sharing is caring, so documenting your thoughts about whichever books you choose to read would be fantastic! c: Have fun!

The Morganville vampire series by Rachel Caine

The Historian

Not a book you think Vampires would end up in but apparently it is. I've just bought it off ebay after coming across it and looking it up on goodreads. Looks super interesting.

Feral Nights by Cynthia Leitich Smith
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare - most of this series and Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare this series features vampires ...
A Living Nightmare (Cirque Du Freak, #1) by Darren Shan I love this series!

I've heard The Immortal Rules is really good, but I haven't read it myself. It's worth checking out, though! The author is a very good one, and the book is definitely on my to-read list.

Amanda Hocking's My Blood Approves series.
