Today it's warmer than our usual winter weather here in Peoria, Illinois. The temp I saw on a bank was 39 degrees. It's only temporary, though--according to the forecast the high will be only 7 degrees tomorrow.

Woke up in north east essex to -3% with the added bonus of Freezing fog. Drivers still not clearing wind screens before driving and driving without lights. Absolutely studid.

I don't know if I will ever survive in winter. This morning was 21 degree celcius, I think that's around 70F and windy yet I shiver. I probably freeze if it ever snow here in Penang.
It may be chilly here in the OTHER Washington, but I'm glad I don't live in DC. Keep safe all of you in the bad storm back East.
Yesterday was a most awesome day. Beautiful sunrise, magnificent clouds, eazy cool breeze. Today is clear and bright and a bit cold.
Kate wrote: "In Rhode Island it is 12F and a foot of snow"EEK! Nasty! Keep warm!! Read a book set in Florida or Hawaii...
Kate wrote: "In Rhode Island it is 12F and a foot of snow"Cold in CT also (but fortunately where I am we only got about 6 inches of that blasted snow). It is going down to the single digits overnight. BRRRRRRRRR
Yeah tell me about. It's so cold I don't want to every leave the house until the summer. Do you think there's such a thing as a human hibernating? Lol
Carmen wrote: "Yeah tell me about. It's so cold I don't want to every leave the house until the summer. Do you think there's such a thing as a human hibernating? Lol"Yes! My neighbors do it as soon as it's too cold to work on their landscaping.
So sorry so many of you are suffering with SUPER COLD weather in your areas. It is still unseasonably warm here in LA. It was 85 degrees today. Unbelievable. There is a Kings/Ducks hockey game at Dodger Stadium this weekend, should be interesting playing in this warm weather.
Glad I'm not down there, Leigh, even with the warm temps. From what I hear, breathing problems are spiking.
Gorgeous sunshine in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Windy, but, beautiful blue skies and brilliant sunshine. We'll take it. It won't last long, so, we'll be lovin' it while we got it.
Currently it's one degree above in Peoria, Illinois. We have a wind chill advisory until noon tomorrow.

It was only in the low 70s here in Los Angeles today. Nice breeze too.
Woke up to -1 centrigrade. Been a clear and sunny day in North East Essex and Metropolitan Essex, but would be surprised if temperature has risen much above freezing.Warmer and wet in the west with promise of rain for easy over the weekend.
Oh what joy!
It's 36F here in Kennewick in eastern WA state. Just got back from walking my senior dogs. I think it's trying to snow. Either that or Mother Nature has got a bad case of dandruff.
The sky was grey today!! My fellow Angelnos were confused. ;-) It was only in the low 70s today, we even got a few drops of drizzle. Temps go right back up to the 80s next week.
Still just above freezing here in Kennewick, WA, with the dreaded fog. There's white stuff on the ground but it's just moisture from the fog. What color is the sky again???
More gorgeous sunshine in Oregon in the Willamette Valley. Up to 44F today! Great weather for a walk.Oh, and, the sky is blue. At least, here, it is.
Was watching a rugby match at the weekend which was abandoned. 70 minutes into the gane the weather deteriorated badly the rain and wind picked up It was swirling around then the advertising hoardings started flying across the pitch. For safeties sake the referee abandoned the match. it was surreal watching the hoarding fly across the pitch. This was at Watford.
Here in Chicago, it's currently -6F but feels like -25F. Cold enough that it's flaring up my asthma big time.

It was in the 70s today here in LA. Still no rain, but we might get some next week.
It dropped to the 60's today. Two pales I went to before coming home had turned on their heaters!!! IT was hilarious. I actually saw 2 people wearing gloves. Haha.
Leigh wrote: "It dropped to the 60's today. Two pales I went to before coming home had turned on their heaters!!! IT was hilarious. I actually saw 2 people wearing gloves. Haha."Too funny! If it was in the 60s here, folks would be in shorts.
Sunny in Willamette Valley in Oregon. Windy, though. Wouldn't be cold at all, 53F, without that wind. Went for a walk and it blew me all over the road. Hard to walk against and hard to walk with it. Still, got my walk in. Rained last night. Don't mind it if it rains at night. Often thought that's when it should rain. We need the rain, but, don't need to drive in it or even be out in it. 2-4 in the morning sounds about right to me for a rainy night.
Of course, when I was younger and just getting back at 2-4 in the morning, I felt different...
Started out rainy - then - HALLELUJAH!!! - the sun broke through the clouds (who knew the sky was blue?) - then the clouds came back - with just enough break to see the sun set! Temps were in the 40s. Kennewick, WA
Go Hawks!
Kirsten wrote: "Go Hawks!"Yes! Go Hawks!
While I'm not usually a Hawks fan, I have to follow them in the Super Bowl. They have 2 ex-Oregon Ducks on their team(Max Unger and Walter Thurman III) and Denver has none. No brainer!
Bounced back up to the 80s today. It is supposed to drop down to the 60s net week and they are currently forecasting rain. We'll see. Dallas Raines(meteorologist on ABC7) looked positively giddy at the prospect of actual weather happening.
SUNNY, SUNNY, SUNNY!!!!! YIPPEEE!!!! Wind's picking up, though! Beggars can't be choosers. Happy in Kennewick, WA. Go Hawks!
Colorado is expect to get some snow tomorrow
